I’m pissed, I still had like alf a bar of fatigue and I wanted to guse it…only to find out that the servers are down…bullshit Nexon! Bullshit!
hit the nail on the head. it’s easier if you’re fighter or a class that has a throw. with fighter run suplex, low kick, combo, run and change plane. wait for cooldown then repeat. it’s really easy as long as you aren’t impatient/reckless. well i should really say it’s really really easy to fight the boss when you’ve defeated all other enemies. if you’re losing lots of health taking out the enemies i recommend focusing on the projectile ones first. pick them out in a crowd by running up and throwing them, suplex works great as the slam hits everything around so you can make a clean getaway. rinse and repeat till you have the boss alone. i am a 1cc beat em up player and so far this game has been a little on the easy side, no need for coins, i really hope it’s get more difficult in the later quests. pvp will be challenging it seems. oh and happy bday btw!
EDIT: some questions
been playing this for a couple of days and i’m closing in on lvl 18. when you hit 18 your skills are cleared and points are given back to you for reallocation, is that correct?
once i become a certain class, say nen master, will only the nen master + general skills be the only ones available to me or will i get a few skills from the grappler etc?
what happens when you abandon a quest that you’ve accepted? does it go back to the npc you accepted it from? can you accept it again or is it gone?
i’m sorry for the questions can anyone help.
thats right.
yeah you’ll get some from the other trees as well.
yeah you can always get quests back.
This is addicting >_>
When the beta launched I played for a few hours, still had half my fatigue points left…I just went and did other things, I get the urge to hop on for a little bit, end up staying on for 2-3 more hours, questing with random people >_>
Should hit my 18 tomorrow though.
Can I send items from one of my characters to the other(aside from sending it to an other player then switching characters)? Putting items in the safe don’t seem to work since it’s empty if my other character looks in it.
You can use the mailbox on the other side of the room with the safe in it.
I now have a 22 battle mage and an 18 Monk, I think im going to enjoy the BM a bit more though monk does seem fun. Anyone else having a bitch of a time with Vestibule of Darkness quests? I attempted to do the SS rank quest by dying at the last boss and using my coin when he had a sliver of health left. Sure enough as soon as I ressed he did his auto guard slash followed by the V-patterned lightning which hit 5 times and killed me instantly. I never felt more fail =(
So are there even more classes to come? Advance classes perhaps? And when can we start to customize or character?
Edit: oh and what’s the lvl cap?
the new classes coming are thief, male fighter and female gunner (and yes, the gender swaps are different in gameplay). job advancement occurs at lvl 48. avatar customizing items appear to be cash shop microtransaction stuff from what i see (which we probably won’t see til this comes out of beta). the level cap for early access beta was 40 but i believe it should be 60 now that open beta is happening.
I just heard a weird thing on the DFO boards that the version we are playing has more exp requirement to lvl up (about 50%-60% more). I thought advancement in this game goes alright right now but it would be better if it went faster just so it is easier to get into things like pvp.
i just recommend what you said, sending it to a trusted player then switching out and grabbin em back. if you do it via mailbox you can only send one item at a time and they charge you around 600 each time you send. might be okay if you send rarely but using it if you have to send like 4 or 5 or so items to your other character can really set you back on money.
So I still can’t find a place to buy healling pots… I ve been trying to put thunder land on farm as there is a lot of drop for apprentice hp vials…
But is there any other way to heal?
You get healing pots at the goblin guy, BUT you have to pay vp (pvp points) and gold for it. It’s not worth it. Save your vp for the good equips and quests (some quests from Bernstein require vp). Once you hit sky tower the drops get better and you can farm the elven drake champagne quest from the tavern at dragonoid. It’s best to find a party right now because you definitely would get hit a lot less and waste less resources.
Not as bad as trying to get a S rank in Puppet (Master’s). Spent my entire fatigue yesterday, and still havent got it. I’ll get S or SS rank through the entire dungeon until the boss, then I/we (party) drop to A.
Also, baleeted the slayer, got a L8 gunner (Probector), and apparently, if you create a new character during open beta, and manage to get him/her promoted, you get 20 tokens or somethink like that. I’ll edit it in with the article later.
Also, chick at the end of dungeons fix items. also, armor breaks too, lame.
not sure if anyone else noticed, but when doing normal attacks (and some other attacks) if you hold back during it you move forward less, or stand still
or, if you hold forward you more forward farther
for example, start your normal attack string then keep attacking and hold different directions to see the difference
Hehe yea i just realized that this morning, I no longer travel through the mob when doing battle mages normal string. Man that was annoying
So did that srk guild happen yet? If not how close? I’m willing to donate
The guild support is not implemented yet. I asked on the DFO boards and they said a lot of features aren’t in yet like mentor systems and such. I also heard that since we have higher exp req in the open beta, they might tone it down to dnf levels in full release (though don’t quote me on that that’s just what someone was saying).
I never got to pvp yet… Evry time I bring up the menu, the pvp rooms are grEyd out.
I think you can create your own room if you want but pvp is pretty buggy right now. There is the black screen which happens now and then where your screen blacks out but the other people are still fighting you. In the team deathmatches (super smash bros. style not CVS) sometimes after killing the other team, it doesn’t end and the timer is running down. When it runs out the winner loses (I’ve been on both sides of this bug:lame:). Though pvp is still fun, I still need to make up for my record on the first day. I lost 22 matches on my first day playing this game and it has hurt me ever since :xeye: (I didn’t know how to hook up my controller at the time).
Seems like lvlin might go by to fast then.
