Well they sort of did but some are still around. But they did it spanish inquisition style where many people who did not hack or illegally farm were banned such as syxx. But they did catch some hackers, even if that person was harmlessly using a +31 in grand flores :). Theres still threads and tickets about this issued since April 1st yet not much has been done.

Not ashamed to admit I bought gold myself, with how stupid price scalpers would hike up prices it made things a lot less frustrating, but then with them just banning left and right(and the issue still not being resolved) just makes me 
The funny thing is that it started on April 1st with their new security system, so everyone was “like is this a fucking joke?”. Later that day they issued a statement saying that no, it was not a joke in spirit of April fools but they are a completely incompetent corporation that can’t run shit right. I think the economy became shittier with the new security but I guess it needs time to re-adjust.

Nah, there were chinese people invading the game farming and botting and people gold bought from them. They started banning them (and others) so the economy is fucked up since less people are buying like they used to. (though i still get fucking mail from gold sellers in my in-game mailbox, which makes say what the fuck?!?!? Some motherfucker is keeping tabs on my ign).
You can get avatars in the game using gold though. You just have to buy it from someone’s shop but they won’t make it cheap on you if it’s good.

I’ve spent the last day (at least 8 hours of it) trying to find a decent action MMO. Unfortunately, I am not having luck. Most of them are released only in Korea or canceled already. I tried this game, and it was good, but I can’t enjoy a game knowing that I could possibly be stronger by paying cash for a random item.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Well I haven’t spent a cent on this game but you can play the market to buy the avatar (the appearance changing stuff that would cost money) from other players using in-game gold. I got my avatars by sending gear to a friend so he can fence them for me in his shop. Honestly though buying tokens to get random avatars cost a shitload of money, hence why a lot of people goldbuy to get their shit together.
Some people are really good at merchanting with the fucked up DFO economy. In fact if fact if you got so good, you can be Vegavak status and get random hate mail for being too awesome at selling shit high…
