so im becoming that guy who wants to make one of everything but ends up just getting characters to like level 15 and getting sidetracked.
right now, i have a mechanic freshly turned at 18 with a build plan, a slayer whom i want to be a soul b(l)ender, and a mage headed towards witch. i want to pvp some and im leaning towards soul bender just from what ive seen; i dig the juggles and the tombstone business, plus ghoststep shenanigans look great. however, all three classes look fun in their own way (mechanics seem OP, and i dont want to be frowned upon in pvp just because i shoot bullets, but ill be damned if BLODIA PUNCH is something i dont want to do).
any insight?
Mechanics are not OP, people just don’t know how to deal with them so they complain. Dont get me wrong, they are top tier, but one solid hit on you and you are done. That won’t stop people from hating on you bigtime for playing them, though.
what im liking about soul is that built right i can do some good pvp damage, and im also a good credit to a team for pve. i suppose alot of classes are similar but im really digging the concept of an endgame soul (though i wish i could escape cloth armor classes)
Does anyone else get horrendous lag during party play? I’m looking through the party list on Grand Flores East 1, and every available party to join has a ping over 400 with most sitting at around 600. I don’t have any lag when I play other online games, so I’m just wondering if it’s just because of the overcrowding of East 1, or some other reason.

Possibly. Or their connections can’t handle the overcrowdedness. It’s possible. Can you party fine on any other channels and not get lag from the other channels?

It’s kind of a catch-22 for me. East 1 has many parties to join but lots of lag, less populated channels may not have lag, but hey also don’t have any parties. I may hit up some SRK people to test my theory out, because the friends I play with have very different playing schedules than mine.

and for those wondering about the lag, today’s been pretty laggy on and off. took me almost 3 mins around noon EST just to log in…then after selecting my char, it took about another 2 mins just to load everything up.
so if anything, expect some more server downtime/maintenance after tonight’s downtime + 4-5 extra unsaid hour maintenance.
Can’t connect, wanted to do a run or two. That’s 5 days I can’t play the game and I only got to play DFO 3 days thus far.
…i’m on…probably just the server lag.
