Dungeon Fighter (new MMO from Nexon)

Thanks for the groups, Shin Oni and WaInut =D

I think I am scrapping my Fighter for now.

I know what I am doing with my Gunner now (for example, not missing quest I should be doing) and I am leveling much faster.

EDIT: Also helps that Gunner is really easy.

imo.

Did you ever sell it? How much did you get for it?

I’ll pm you now, but I’ll warn you that I don’t get to play that much.

holy fuck finally, easier exp curve come dec. 16
come dec. 18, i shall join everyone again

and then realize that they still haven’t added f. gunner :frowning:
but then i realize that they added an easier exp curve

I’m still contemplating getting back on DFO. I got my character to like 26 and stopped. Has it gotten better since the summer? Have they added better quests and what not? If it’s gotten better then I’ll hop back on. Maybe when they change the EXP curve I won’t mind it so much. Cause 26-27 was a grind level and just annoying. Ugh.

If I do get on, I’ll be on Conjure. Battlemage all day!

Neesa, since the exp curve is coming soon, I’d wait a bit, as level 31 is a bitch, I just came out of it over a week ago and almost done with 32 but I’ve called it quits until the curve is put in, fuck it

I always thought the lvl 23 grind was the worst. Fuck Vest.

You have not truly felt pain until you’ve solo ground Silver Night kings with a Monk.

Yeah. I’m re-downloading it to install it again. I think I was at 50% or something when I was last on. If I could just get to 27, I should be okay, cause they have quests for that level at least. But I’ll probably get back into hardcore DFOing once the semester ends on the 21st. Then I don’t hafta worry about studying and just train/quest.

Can’t wait to play with some of you guys! :lovin:

I think my most painful experience was trying to advance to Battle Mage. It took me soooo long. I had to clear the zombie place (can’t remember the name) on masters… It would’ve been easy if I didn’t hafta solo it. -cringes-

Kind of a noob question but. I just hit level 15 on my gunner but I cleaned out all of the quests save for the speed runs that the jar-head guy has, and I haven’t done those cause I havent had a competent group go for it yet. How should I go about leveling making the most of my fatigue? Should I run Grak/Shadow Thunderland/Blazing Grak/ on some higher road setting, or should I just party my way to the next area(Sky Tower)

Always run the highest level dungeon you have access to without wasting too many potions. If you skip to a further dungeon it will tank your exp. IIRC Shadow is the best at lvl15 and as a gunner should be no problem.

Jesus Christ, I actually went into other dungeons to grind that shit out as Vest made me want to throw my fucking laptop, especially when I had to do the vest kings quests!!:annoy:

I’ve never had a problem in that area, just make sure you get like 6+ quests for a dungeon at a time and your fatigue should be used well.

Definitely. I got a headache at level 23 and had to turn the game off for awhile because it was making me so angry. Ugh. I think trying to do the Chamber quest solo for me is hard. I just need to stock up on potions… Maybe break down and buy NX and just get life coins. I haven’t bought NX since I quit MapleStory. :annoy:

I abused GSD for that quest and the no coin one.

If you have trouble completing quests solo just grab a group.

[edit] The best grouping channels are almost always <insert area> east 1

The earlier on dungeons should be mostly good to solo (including vest). The main thing that makes these dungeons easier is the willingness to be patient. When you are fighting things that have super armor attacks you must be willing to hit and run sometimes. For Example, on the Vest boss instead of rushing him down try hitting him with your few most powerful attacks, and when he is knocked down just back up half the screen away or so. Once he gets up he will more than likely start walking towards you because you are so far away. If he does lightning you will easily be able to avoid it.

Rinse repeat, it shouldn’t be that bad. Some classes do just get screwed by him but hit and run is the best bet.

:coffee: day in the life, baby. day in the life.

level 26 is painful. i just finished getting out of that with my summoner, yay!

level 31 isnt so bad, it went by pretty quickly for me. level 33 is pretty grindy though.

for meleers soloing bosses is really an exercise in hit and run. ive soloed the super octopus boss on my striker with a lot of tornado kick > run away, mountain pusher > run away with some strong hits snuck in when i thought it was safe. dont bother trying to combo against bosses like that, risk vs reward isnt worth it.

i’ll be on in a bit if anyone wants to do the behemoth dailies or the level 34 quests. maybe i play at funny hours or something but there are surprisingly few groups for this stuff given how irritating it is to do on your own. ign “jayomega”

Hey guys, is this supposed to happen? I have my new laptop with windows 7 on it, and every time I boot up DFO, the mouse is stuck in it’s regular mode. I don’t get the cursor from the DFO program when I move over the lower portion of the screen. Also, the game does not fit to full screen, it’s stuck in this letter box mode.

Is it compatibility issues or did I do something wrong?
