Keep getting a timeout error when I try to play after it checks for patches and everything, anyone got any ideas?

it seems like it won’t read the directional inputs for the TE stick. i’ve tried the other stick settings, but none of them work. the buttons are functional though. i’m going to use xpadder to map the stick to the directional inputs on the keyboard.

Thanks dude, I always encounter problems like this when using my school’s wireless service, so I’m gonna ask my mom to bring me an ethernet cable, which means i won’t be able to play until tomorrow at the earliest. :xeye:

i’m gonna stick with grand flores a for now, i don’t mind the population. you just gotta refresh a few times to get in.

alright, so download this. it should be easy to set up but i’ll walk you through it.

1. if you have a TE/SE, leave it in DP mode (middle option) and then go to the DPAD option in xpadder. from there, click enable and it’ll ask you to press the directions.

2. go to the first tab (i think, the grey one with the four buttons) and click on each key. you can assign any keyboard press to these keys, so do the directional ones accordingly.

3. after that, your stick inputs will be registered as keyboard inputs, letting you use it for the game

I have a Hrap3 and I have to set my stick to left analog before directions worked.

Though it doesn’t seem like my R/L buttons work. Ohwell, only need 3 buttons.

Yeah, it’s weird you can’t use dpad. Had to set my fightpad to left stick before I could move.

i’m using the stick because i have one and it feels more natural to me.

Anyone else having problems when grouped in dungeons? It seems to de-sync and only the group leader can attack mobs. After that the only option is to leave dungeon which wastes fatigue points and possibly money (since you have to goto the inn to get your health and mana back quickly)

Since this is more SOR-ish, do you guys actually prefer using a stick for it? Or do we got any pad dungeon fighters in here?

I’m using a stick atm. Since there are no complicated motions (most are up+button or down+button) I could easily see keyboard and pad being viable options for this game.
