Re-add me whenever, I decided to register for Devastation this week so I need the practice. At our local tournaments I keep coming in around 3rd to 5th lately. Usually its just a countdown until I run into a competent Hong Kong character in the bracket and lose.
But my execution has really gotten worse recently and I need to whip that shit back into shape.
And to answer your question, better normals, ambiguous crossups, and moves that can be canceled from better normals into safe specials (particularly specials that leave them at ranges to safely pressure from like scissor kicks and certain rush punches).
No, they can’t. Only 1 frame grabs are supers and ultras. Unless you mean something like characters are still considered grounded while the jump frames are starting up. In that case, just backdash.
Edit: There is no jump startup, you’re airborne from as soon as you input up. Therefore, -1 is safe from SPD. Test in training mode if you want. Record Zangief doing close standing fierce (-1 on hit) and then hold up and try to reversal SPD him. It might look like it’s due to him being out of range when he jumps, but if you wait for him to land and jab SPD him, it connects.

She can feint Fierce TK? It must have really damn strict timing because I have never been able to do it and I just tried again after you said it to make sure.

Nah man, you can do fierce feint fierce with both jab and strong TK. Try it in training mode. On the contrary, the only one I can’t do fierce feint fierce with is fierce TK.
Oh, well if it works it works. God knows why I can’t feint fierce tk though.
Edit: I figured out why. I was doing the feint part way too slowly. It’s a lot stricter than with jab and strong thunder knuckles especially when you’re doing it midscreen. That makes that combo ridiculously easy.

The only thing I personally want to try and advocate for would be improved hitbox on f. MK. If we can get them to give Dudley the hitbox of Cody’s gut punch then I will be supremely happy. Better hitboxes in general would be cool, but keeping in line with the fact that Dudley is supposed to have pretty bad reach to correspond with his high damage output, I feel like all he really needs is a kidney blow that can reliably stuff people pushing buttons. As it stands, a lot of characters can simply walk backwards and have it whiff, or the bad hitbox will whiff after the pushback of two blocked crouching jabs.
Where is that hitbox comparison that Mr. X posted a while back?
