Dudley was never about overwhelming offensive pressure. He was about having great normals, good oki and good punishes. Right now he only has one of those things.

Is this in reference to his 3s self? If so then I apologize for being misguided as to what Dudley is all about. I’ve never played 3s so I didn’t know. It just seemed to me that that’s what he should be like. Well if what you’re saying is the case what things does he need to have buffed in the great normals and good oki aspects of his game since his punish game is on point? I wish to learn.

Yep. And a pixie character is someone like El Fuerte who are supposed to be about being small, fast and landing quick, moderately damaging hits. I think he was just being funny or something.

Go to TheShend’s youtube page and search Kokujin, Fujiwara, Jima, or Aiku. All 3S Dudley players. You’ll see Dudley was just hard to deal with once he got in on you. In SF4, mash backdash or reversal if he ever gets in.
Ahhh, I see now. I want THAT Dudley then. Scratch everything I said before. I want the buffs in the end to say “plays like his 3rd Strike iteration with some minor differences” like it said with Yun when he came in and Makoto when she got buffed up.
Mr. X that is wrong. Pixie means rushdown, high mobility, high damage, but low health. Magneto is a pixie. Dudley is not.
If you want Dudley to play like he does in 3s you guys are asking for the wrong buffs. Instead of asking for Dudley buffs ask the devs to buff the engine. Dudley will never play like he does in SF3 because the engine is radically different almost the opposite in terms of the kind of gameplay it’s designed for.
What archetype is Dudley then? He shares 2 of 3 of those traits.
Not all pixies are low health (Wolverine, Wesker). I’d even argue She-Hulk w/ Tron Flame is a pixie style character.
Same archetype as Makoto, Steve Fox et al. A rushdown character. Wolverine actually had crap health in MvC2 when he was considered a pixie character.
Steve is actually a bad example because he is freaking godrike no matter what. He’s just a god character.
Well in any case I just want Dudley to be good in the end or at least competitive. I’m hoping and praying for the best in 2012 since this is supposed to be the last iteration of SF4 before they move on.

He was testing, but the Rose needs its startup cut in half for it to work like a reset.
Hmmm now that I see it in action FADC Rose looks like it may have some potential. That start up needs to be cut to be awesome though.

Dudley’s set to be high tier and balanced
I take back Dudley needing a buff in frame advantage on hit with HP and MP MGB.
Those moves are mostly to be used in buffering or vs characters with limited options post mgb.
HP MGB does 5 more damage than duck upper with less frame advantage
Duck Upper is +2 on hit and sets up for a empty duck reset on hit

i actually agree with 34. dud is looking really good right about now. quite a few match ups just shifted a bit more into his favor.
