I have very little success using crouch forward against Shoto crouch forward or just good low pokes in general. Having to predict 5 frames ahead is pretty hard.
Why am I just now figuring out good Dudley’s TCs are at breaking focus? Partial TCs are so useful!

They’re all quick and link into stLP, some link straight into stHK.
Partial TCs are gdlk for block strings too.
cr. MK really is a move that works best from your max range, against their max range. And it is a great move from that sort of range. But when I am not right next to a shoto, but I am too close to safely go for a counterpoke cr. MK, I just do cr. LK instead. It doesn’t lead to any extra damage, but it helps out a lot. Cr. MP is generally sweet as well.
You can also just look to bait it near their max range, then block and empty duck through the canceled fireball for a big punish.
Luckily AE gives Dudley much better options against their nerfed versions of cr. MK. But for now those are what I typically go for.
Arghhh two matchups are murdering me lately (ones that I’ve never really given much thought before): skilled Makoto and skilled Juri. Specific questions:

What do you guys punish blocked Juri pinwheel with? Do lk/mk/hk pinwheels get different punishes? What about blocked ex? I seem to remember that you have to block pinwheel standing in order to get the best punish opportunity because it pushes you out too far if you crouch block the whole thing but I’m not sure.

What is the gameplan in general for Makoto? Makoto focus attack seems really good, and the instant axe kick to change her jump arc is pretty tricky. Is there any secret to this matchup or do you just need to outplay them (obviously)?
Makoto is zone her out as best you can with your normals and once you get the knockdown, get in that ass. She can wreck you once she gets a chance, but you can make her eat a lot of stuff before she can get close.
You can punish any of juri’s pinwheels with the exception of light pinwheel with reversal U1. Same with poorly spaced divekicks.
s.hk xx EX MGB vs Makoto’s s.mp is very fun. And then when they think they understand their spacing you hit s.hp and hit them anyway.
s.hp to punish axe kicks is good. So is either ultra (I am assuming U1 works well, I use U2 in that matchup).
You can focus regular Axe Kicks as well. If they like to, for lack of a better word, “spam” them, you can get a free lv2 FA.
Juri: Against dumb Juri’s s.hp after the pinwheel. The better options here is probably s.hk into exmgb if it reaches. if not, fuck it do a s.hp anyway. They usually don’t realize they’re eating 200 stun every time you do it and they’ll be dizzied in no time.
Makoto: Rush that ass down. Watch out for random Karakusa’s into dick punch

After a blocked f. HK I get thrown. Should I be teching after it? Or am I just slow pushing buttons?
No, you’re definitely getting thrown.
No, you’re just not pushing the buttons correctly. Dartshot is only -1 on block.
Uh if you try to do any normal after a non-meaty dart shot on block and they stand tech you will get thrown. Ways to beat this include neutral jump (won’t punish, usually they’ll block the j.hk though), ssb, backdash, and jet upper (lol).
Off a meaty overhead you’re even or plus on block so do whatever you want afterwards.
Does EX Cross Counter retain the you take more damage than normal from the move you’re countering property from 3s? I EX Crosscountered an EX Dictator Headstomp and it took about 15% of my life and killed me.
