I just hope the buffs or if there are other buffs, are major enough to help is matchups.

I don’t have problem with Dudley’s AAs other than I do them too late. sMK gets them out the air, crHP hurts and gets them out the air and far jump ins can be hit by sMP or sHP.

The bad matchups are bad from a character design level. These characters were designed to give characters like Dudley a really hard time. Unless they change Dudley, these matches will continue to be ass. I’m just hoping something makes these matches not as ass as they are now.

EX Duck sounds like garbage. Capcom is just putting something there so I accidentally burn an EX meter screwing up U1 motion.

Am i the only one who wants some changes to duck upper and straight? Seriously the follow ups straight up whiff on some characters sometimes for no reason at all, not to mention that straight has some really weird timing to it.

The only buff I’d like to see besides better all around normals.

Ill gladly take some damage nerfs if they improve his footsie game. Doubt it will happen tho.

-uppercuts will get damage reduction
-fierces might get reduction
-EX MGB might scale more

+better c.rh
+better rose
+ex ducking probly for speed, dont think he’ll get armor
+maybe better hitbox on c.mk, and c.mp

dudley getting +3 on block for c.lp would be so insanely retarded that i hope they do that.

I wouldn’t mind if Dudley had like 4 or 5 frames of invul on his non EX JU’s. And I wouldn’t mind if they decided to buff his footsies up some more by buffing his FA. A little more damage on his FA, faster FA lvl 2 charge and quicker attack animation would actually be pretty good. He’s be able to consistently make holes in the opponent’s attack on the ground.

A better DP would just lead to there being more scrub Dudleys.

They need to fix his short ducking. Guile shouldn’t be able to punish my short ducks through sonic booms with st. fp or back fist, that’s just retarded. I would be happy if they made it shorter and traveled the same distance as his forward dash. As he is now, Dudley doesn’t have a safe way to travel through fireballs.

EX ducking would be okay, but I’m not really praying for it.

His backswing blows should be throw invincible on startup, and ex back swing should be low hit invincible on startup. If they gave him that, his defense would be 10x better without being retarded or broken, because you would still need to burn bar on ex-DP when being pressured in the corner.

The only normal that needs to be touched is his sweep. Everything else is fine imo.

his f.mp need some buffs too, nobody ever uses it, it was supposed to give dudley ground against low hitbox attacks (ryu c.mk, sweeps)

If they mess up with his st.fierce i’m dropping him.It’s the only button that makes people scared at mid range.I always hear people say “damn, that fierce”, but no one actually cares about getting hit by his other pokes (f.mp ,cr.mp).

I don’t think they gonna mess with s.hp, I had ex mgb, dashing straight and upper and ex jet upper in mind for nerfs unfortunately :frowning:

While this is true, it’s still fun to speculate. I thought about it a lot and honestly the only change I really want is increase his dash speed. Having a level 1 FA be +1 instead of -3 would be excellent. If I can get more, I really hope that Capcom just gives Dudley better anti-footsie options like having the slide punch slide further or be faster on startup and nerfs his damage output. I will gladly take less damage for better footsies.

Less recovery on forward dash, faster cr. mk and a few hitbox adjustments are all Dudley really needs. EX Ducking sounds nice for Guile but if it’s too fast it will lead to ex duck > st. RH xx W/E on characters like Ryu which would be pretty OP. I wouldn’t mind a little more frame advantage on blocked normals though.

I doubt they’ll mess with his damage after seeing the Cody changes. Dude hits just as hard, if not harder, than Duds and has much better anti airs, pressure and footsies. 3 frame cr. short OS mk ruffian kick whiff punishing with Cody is gonna wreck fools.

Isn’t at least 1 of Cody’s hard normals 120 damage?

Man, s.hp is not like Ryu’s c.mk or Bison’s s.mk you don’t spam it waiting for the best, you pull it after a c.mp or after some jabs, you getting outpoked anyway if you spam it (it’s great against dalshim on corner, then that is ok to spam it lol)

it is a really decent move, but other characters that gives Dudley problems have godlike ones, if its bad huge damage (zangief) and if its good low damage ? rofl dumb… Don’t mess with s.hp, it is totally balanced.

Guile will probably get more recovery on his booms but I wouldn’t mind all ducks being 1 frame quicker (recovering and when you can go into duck upper/straight) making landing straight a little easier after EX MGB. I’m not saying this because I have a hard time doing it.

Dudley’s biggest nerf will be his stun hitbox getting fixed. Hakan and Makoto will be able to command grab us.

I hope he gets boosted up a little and I don’t even play him. He seems like he should be a strong char and I hope the give him armor on ex duck
