Hmm. Well, I didn’t much care for the LK duck unless I was feeling myself, so I guess I can’t share the feeling of dread.

But on the plus side, we shouldn’t have to, right? With s.hk being 0 on block, we’d be pretty much unpunishable if we were to end our strings in s.hk…right?

crLP stHK 1 frame gap is better than crLP fMK 6 frame gap vs 3 frame shorts and 3 frame jabs. Punishing crouch tech or jab mashing with a CH stHK combo is no more ;_;

Who cares if it’s blocked, what do you do if it hits? You can’t hit confirm into EX MGB off a 4 frame move. stHK hits, there’s no time to recognize it hit to cancel into EX MGB. LK Duck was the confirm to recognize stHK hit or was blocked and then you do another stHK or crLP stHK or get fancy and overhead their ass into a combo.

I hope AE never comes out! I hope we go straight to AE+ and the fix it!

Can’t you just cancel into lk duck straight or upper? I don’t look at frame data, but I think that should work.

Do you know how soon you have to cancel the LK duck to get the follow up out? It’s not enough time recognize if the stHK hit or was blocked to cancel into upper or straight. Upper and Straight are -6 and -5 on block respectively. -3 is way better than -6 and -5.

Marn does a few empty ducks into a reset of some kind. It just got riskier and more prone to mashing jab.

There’s a 2 frame gap between cr.LP and st.HK. And if they block it was guaranteed jab/DP.

There’s now a 3-4 frame gap between cr.LP and f.MK and if they block you are +3. Unless you are playing someone who has autofire on LP, you wont get jabbed out of that much. And if they are mashing jab for all they are worth, do a walk back counter hit fierce followed by another fierce just for good measure. It psychologically fucks them. :slight_smile:

I am annoyed to lose st.HK xx LK Empty Duck, but to be honest it was a gamble and as time went on its -3 on block would have been exploited by good players. Now we have godlike f+MK, so that is the new CH set up.

ch.F+MK > F+MK > st.HK xx EX MGB > Duck Straight > EX Duck Upper is going to be A HELLA DAMAGE

If f.MK was sped up, it’s 7 frames. 6 frames would create and infinite (st LP f. MK st LP etc) UNLESS THEY REDUCED MORE HITSTUN ON DUDLEY’S MOVES. 5 frame gap between crLP f.MK on block.

Until I get more details on fMP, every “buff” sounds like it doesn’t affect anything as much as losing stHK hitstun.

EX Duck for an extra 120 damage scaled in a highly likely 6-7 move combo.
f.MK allegedly sped up by probably one frame.
sweep gets 2 more active frames and will still probably be better off not used.

Sorry, the idea of the f+MK > st.LP infinite just made me laugh out loud.

Yeh a 5 frame gap is good for a crouch tech counter hit set up. What you gonna do though. Guess it is done now.

Vs Balrog, I can’t get it to work every time even on record function, but if you do cr.LP > st.LP (which hits a crouch blocking Balrog) you are at +3 rather than +2 and it allows you to get the f+HP kara grab vs jab mashing 8 out of 10 times. This should dissuade them from this tactic.

i got to play dudley in arcade edition and he feels a lot better. it might just be me but after going home and playing with dudley on console and he just seems sluggish. one thing i noticed in ae is that the standing hk might have a smaller hit box or its just yun/yang and some other characters, in some of the bnb’s hk would whiff completely.

im sure he got alot better because everytime i picked him i got 5 wins in row (limit at cf) and i wasnt getting more than 2-3 wins with my dudley in the ssf4 cabs
