Ah, makes sense. I usually just used the LK one on their wake up. But if the mechanics are similar to that in SFIV, then yeah, I could see it crossing up.
I just wanna know if the EX thunderbolt has invincibility on startup. Gen doesn’t deserve that, so maybe they gave it to Duds? :lovin:

The Thunderbolt in the trailer slowed down so you can see the push happening. Look carefully to see it. I wouldn’t call this conclusive.
Huh. Looks like it hits twice.
Yeah, I think Logan Sama mentioned that it hits twice normally, and the EX version hits 5 times.
5 times?! What’s the purpose of hitting 5 times? I wonder if there’s some combos that go along with the Thunderbolt. Maybe EX has a floor bounce like Juri has a wall bounce. Ha, that would be something.
EX thunderbolt -> bounce/juggle -> jet upper -> FADC -> cordscrew cross for great dignity?
Better yet, get some HnK bounce combos going. EX Thunderbolt > EX Thunderbolt > EX Thunderbolt > EX Thunderbolt > Corkscrew Cross for Ai wo TorimoDignity.
Not gonna happen. First hit out of the second EX Thunderbolt would knock them out of the juggle.
You do realize that was a joke, right? I doubt Dudley would get a bounce move, especially with all the juggles he already has.
I am not a joke appreciating man.
Obviously.
i luv u guys
Man this thread is already at 60+ pages? Jesus.
It appears Dudley is the most popular addition to Super.
The only thing I’ve been looking for is if he still has c.RH -> dash upper
How is this not conclusive? It was pretty blatantly a cross up, otherwise Balrog would not have moved forward upon being hit and Dudley would not have landed behind him. I’ve never seen Honda’s butt slam hit someone in the front and land behind them–in fact I’ve never seen any move of any character operate like that except for the occasional Ryu J.FP cross up, but that sort of (not really) makes sense given that it’s at an angle. Dudley’s thunderbolt goes straight down, if it hit in front of Balrog, Balrog would not move forward–unless you’re suggesting that Dudley has a move that hits in the front but makes him land behind them while simultaneously pushing them in the opposite direction simulating the effect of a cross up but just isn’t quite there…
So as i understand it, Thunderbolt is pretty much Dudley’s version of Chun’s CF. Rh? Except that Dud’s has a potentially quicker start up that won’t leave him as AA bait?
He did win that character poll here in the US after all…
Last, can we all just coin the term “For Great Dignity” for Dudley’s combos? lol it has a nice ring to it.
- Balrog was in the corner. Dudley is already so big while slamming down in a move where I would assume he would move the enemy instead of him being pushed out of the way by his own attack.
- Dudley landed directly on top of him, there’s no saying if he was behind him or not.
I can’t say for sure it was a cross up since it wasn’t a prime situation to dictate whether it was a clean cross up or not.
