dudleys uppercuts had little to no invunerabilty frames (except ex i think)

I imagine dudleys lp dp will be as bad as seths lp dp.

It’ll still be a good combo tool atleast if that’s true. I’m guessing HP will be the anti air one although if LP has a good hit box you could probably anti air and trade and get ultra that way. I also wonder what the stipulation on air hit is that lets him get full ultra off of EX backswing blow but not other launchers.

Dudley has that jab jab jab fadc ultra powa. Looks like he has a ton of options, and will be the most entertaining and powerful of the 3s characters. This of course is solely based on that video, though.

I’m hoping that he does indeed have a ton of options. I know a large number of Balrog players who need to be taught a lesson in the ring. Ah, the sweet science has a dignified representative again. I’m just disappointed that we won’t get to see Dudley leap from his classic his automobile before the round starts.

Right, because its easier. High technicality/execution barrier neutralizes that, or at least makes it so if you’re godlike, its because you’ve really earned it. Which is why the characteristics of “easy to use” and “top tier” should never go hand in hand (my issue with most of the high tiers in SF4.)

what are you talking about? top tier and easy doesn’t have to go hand in hand in sf - if you look at yun and mak in third strike (yun specifically because him and chun are so close to eachother in the tier list), he isn’t easy to use at all - mak ain’t either

There are no such things as bandwagons in street fighter. People will play a character because they think he looks dope, or his playstyle is great or whatever.
I actually welcome more people playing the character, especially since he’s from 3s.

I can say that I have never ever played dudley in 3S, I used Ken and chun li. But he sure as hell looks dope in this game and I’ll be sure to tinker with this character.

Dudley is going to be infinitely more interesting to play than rog. Even if he’s the easiest of the 3s characters he doesn’t look nowhere close to as dry as rog. He’s basically the only character in the game who has a backdash special that moves him back in to instantly punish a whiff. Plus with that buff asss command overhead rog jab mashing won’t be much of a big deal.

Sir I am going to need you to head to the ibuki and viper forums sir. This is dudley land and I can’t remember you playing him…lol But anyway DJ make sure you get your copy so we can practice up. I am going to holla at you about ibuki too. You know I never used here in 3S but why not in this one. But as far as dudley goes oh yeah you know I am playing him again. Ryu is going to be taking a back seat for awhile.

Sure i wasn’t good at all and there was no way that could ever get better with the people picking on me. But i always liked third strike, i think the game has a style that no other game will ever rival.

I do agree on the rest of your post, people will play whoever the fuck they want and yeah more power to people wanting to play an interesting character.

See when I was a young boy, I used to skip my last class or two in high school and go to the arcades to blow my money on Soul Calibur 2. Random people would come in and I’d beat the shit out of them and thought I was amazing. But after a while, other people like me started showing up and suddenly I had some competition. Tournaments started popping up and I was mad when I didn’t win my first few. But I trained got better, and kept on playing. Eventually I started winning the tournaments regularly, and then I got cocky. I was a big fish in a little pond. But I was young so I didn’t know. I called ATL out and they actually wasted their time driving all the way up to NC to rape me and the rest of our players. I played Rob the Destroyer near the finals and he SHAT ON ME HARD with Xianghua, who was top tier as fuck in that game. I got my ass beat and learned my place in the fighting game world, and have been playing ever since.

But the moral of this story is… PICK TOP TIER LIKE THAT GUY THAT RAPED YOUNG ME. See I can do it too.
