Dudley is going to be infinitely more interesting to play than rog. Even if he’s the easiest of the 3s characters he doesn’t look nowhere close to as dry as rog. He’s basically the only character in the game who has a backdash special that moves him back in to instantly punish a whiff. Plus with that buff asss command overhead rog jab mashing won’t be much of a big deal.

Lol Dudley gives me hope for all the other new characters of SSFIV. Maybe Cody, Guy, and Adon has some cool stuff like this.
Yeah I hope adon is easy mode c.viper so I can just not think but still spam air shit. Cody seems like he’ll be the strongest. Not sure about Guy. Depends on his footsies and ultra setups and how badly he loses to gief or honda.

Personally I see nothing wrong with being a tier whore. It’s just a play style. Some people like what is effective, period. Doing whats less effective in the name of flavor is neat and all if you can make it work, but the cash at the top of the pile doesn’t give a crap whether your stylish and flashy or brutally effective.
Anyone else think Lp. Tornado uppercut > Ultra is retarded? No meter required and near 40% damage?

Normal Headbutt can be stuffed and can’t be Focus cancelled.
Tornado Uppercut can be focus cancelled and will probably have better reversal capabilities than headbutt, though I hate to speculate. Point is, headbutt can link to ultra because of how unsafe it is. The same can’t be said about Tornado Uppercut.
Im glad people are finally starting to dig in on Dudley now that he is all but confirmed for top tier status.

Yeah but consider that the devs made Rog’s headbutt non-FADC’able specifically because of how good it is already…and of course Dud’s uppah CAN be fadc’d. It’s basically how people complain about Ryu anti-air lp to ultra, except you don’t have to be in the air anymore, so “just don’t jump” isn’t a valid counterargument to complaining about it lol.
The only caveat is that Dud’s uppahcut doesn’t seem to have nearly the range or invincibility of a shoto srk. In one of those German vids it gets stuffed by a crouching jab. So maybe it will be balanced.
Even still, one thing’s for sure and that’s with the advent of the new chars, especially 3S’ers, all of the ultra setups for Ryu and Sagat and even Rufus won’t seem nearly as nuts as before. Hopefully its not just the newcomers that stepped their game up too.

it doesn’t matter if its a good AA or not, he can hit confirm the combo just with his jabs. Jab Jab to uppercut>ultra.
I enjoy playing really good chars. Alot of people do. If a technical char is one of the best or the best overall I’ll main simple as that.
To be fair we don’t know if LP rocket upper has any invincibility at all. My guess would be no considering being able to combo off of it like that.
Man I’m hyped for playing a good character for once. So sick of playing bullshit ass Fei Long for like a year. I’ma let my character get some of my wins for me now lol.
