I wonder if they’ll reference that part in the Mine Shaft where the nephews are in the mine cart and you jump out and leave them to die in a pit.
Did know WayForward was developing this, good call.
On the Capcom stream, it was confirmed that you’ll be able to swim in the money bin.
End of that PAX stream they straight up said “we’re saving the Moon Base theme reveal for last” lol. Cmon now.
does it have justdefend, roll, parry, dodge, customcombos?
otherwise not playing [-X
It has pogo cancels, requires tight timing to link your bounce combos, and your cane spacing has to be on point. If you’re used to just mashing out broken roll cancel it’s probably too advanced for a scrub like you.
Would’ve preferred if the game was full HD 2D or an upscaled 8 bit version (similar to Megaman 9 and 10), but I’m hype. LET’S GO TO DA MOON.
There better be original songs available too.
Yea, Not having the originals is dumb.
Don’t pull a ubisoft capcom.

Sven is a big fan of the old NES game. This and the D&D rerelease are his pet projects. He personally started this project 2 years ago, first talking to Disney about getting the rights, then selling the project to Capcom Japan.
Shadows of Mystara, the Dungeons and Dragons beat em’ up. I had to look at it twice because in my mind “SOM” is and will always be Secret of Mana, and that coming back would elicit quite a different response than my current calm and collected mood…

they better pair it with a darkwing duck revamp!
I’ll probably catch heat for this, but does anyone else feel that this is just blatant pandering?
Don’t get me wrong, I fucking LOVE that this is being done, but it doesn’t wash the horrible taste of DmC away nor make up for the fact that Capcom’s new shit is, well, shit. Hearing that Sven is the guy that “pushed” for it just rubs me the wrong way as well… He also “pushed” for SFxMM iirc… I’m just, why push for things that ultimately require no work on Capcom’s behalf?
Why not bring up the laundry list of shit wrong with SFIV that even a semi-competent player can see(Bas’ recent interview comes to mind)? Why not push for an ACTUAL Mega Man game? Why can’t you address all the shit your fanbase constantly complains to you about?
Shit, just realize I answered my own question mid-rant… Carry on with the Ducktales hype, gentlemen…

capcom needs to be pandering at this point. they fuckin up on all points lately.
Haha I thought Secret of Mana at first to.
More than likely, yes. SFIV update seems like extreme pandering as well. Too bad that game will always suck!
Considering Capcom’s rep is in an all time low due to anti-consumer business practices they need to pander to win back their base. I feel people ignore some of good shit Capcom put out this generation like Dragon’s Dogma, Dead Rising, Okamiden and their digital games.
Nope, didn’t ignore the diamonds in the rough, but they are terribly overshadowed by the gigantic mountain of failure that towers over them. (Okamiden wasn’t all that great, imo)
I guess the point I was trying to make was who out there among the consumer base still has even the slightest ounce of trust in Capcom?
So they make a few bucks off of getting a legit developer to HD-remix an old game… as long as current management remains a bunch of bungling, money-grubbing, cartoonishly evil executives who are completely out of touch with what made their company great in the first place, they still have learned nothing and only slapped a band-aid on a gaping, gushing wound.
For me and Capcom it depends on who the developers of the project are. This is generally how it works for any game for me with a few exceptions, but in general i put my trust in the dev team, no the company name. Like I trust the DD team for example, Dragons Dogma looked amazing and the expansion looks awesome to, and I know Itsuno and Kobayashi tend to get the job done.
like for DmC it wasn’t the Capcom name that turned me off. It was Ninja Theory’s. When it comes to new Capcom fighters I know Ono will be behind them and I don’t really like his fighters much so I don’t trust his work.
And this is probably them doing the bare minimum of something people want. Capcom is never going to change
at this point. Yeah I’d love to see stuff like Megaman Universe, Mega Man Legends 3, etc etc. But I just think there
doing the bare minimum and stuff like this won’t last. Mega Man nes games should have been on the 3DS VC a long
time ago. You would think the money they get from that Capcom would be at least greed enough to have released it
sooner. They’ll continue forever with the same teasing bullshit too when they do finally actually give us something
they want. Like you said Street Fighter x Mega Man capcom really did no work at all on this. Same for the Ducktales
remake. So for Mega Man’s anniversary they cheap out with a fan game. Plus pull more expected bs with the password
system being “patched in”. You know that shit was ready from the start and capcom probably told him just to hold
off on it. In a effort to make it look like there giving us something more. Remember how so many things like DLC $$
costume colors where standard stuff in Street Fighter games? How they didn’t even need to be unlocked for a lot of
them?
I honestly think it just boils down to Capcom of japan’s ego. And them just not giving a shit. No wonder Keiji Inafune
left. Remember when one of the questions on the livestream thing for SFxMM someone asked about a simple reversing
the title screen logo so it said MMxSF? And how it got shot down REALLY quick? Just got a really bad vibe from that
answer too. I know it’s something simple and stupid to some. But just the tone of voice too. Ever notice how you can
just be around people, not have to hear a word from them, and get a really bad vibe from them. But again anyone that
works for capcom in america is just projecting how capcom of japan feels sometimes. You can tell there just puppets
basically. Same thing goes for Reggie at nintendo, etc etc.
Capcom isn’t going to really do any shit at all unless there about to go out of business. Look how nintendo shit all
over Mario’s anniversary with a glorified rom dump collection? Look at all the other shit they didn’t do for mario,
zelda, metroid, etc etc. It’s the same thing with capcom. And yeah anything I say or do or anything anyone else says
or does with this whole capcom thing won’t matter. Unless it’s really really hurting capcom’s pockets hard. “DMC Criss
Angel Edition” and people not buying that was a start too.
