Ducktales New Series First Art Revealed!

I’m happy they’re trying to establish this ver of the show as new with the heart of the old. Let a new generation of kids watch and love this series. Same thing with those before us who read the comics about Donald scrooge and everyone before the show was made.

And I need to binge watch the original again.

She reprised her role in Ducktales Remastered game.

Still sounded legit.

But I’ll concede the point

Remastered is an exception to the rule since they went out of their way to make sure they got the original cast. Even Alan Young reprised his role as Scrooge even though he was in his 90s at the time.

I am aware. Hence the conceded point

I’d love to have everyone back as well, but doing VA work for a game is far less time intensive than a TV series.

The Remastered crew had to go to exceptional lengths to get Mr. Young’s and Ms. Foray’s lines done.

It’s the same reason I worry about Nozawa’s Goku- That lady is pushing 80 still screaming Kamehameha at the top of her lungs… Can’t be good for her.

Don’t really like Scrooge’s voice actor. Sounds like a young man trying to be old. Wish they could have gotten an old actor.

David Tennant is 45, he’s getting there.

I know this is a Duck Tales thread, but the amount of misinformation in this one post just boggles me for me to not post something.

Have you? This shit is still hand drawn now as it was back then. 3D shows have hardly become the norm. 3D commonly gets used to touch scenes up such as backgrounds or SFX, sure. But to say it’s all done in 3D is disingenuous.

Great animation and corner cutting was as prevalent back then as it still is now. Sometimes they even go hand in hand. You can’t animate everything all the god damn time. Shit’s labour intensive as fuck.

GG Xrd 3D animation is hardly reflective of traditional 3D animation methods and is not a good reference to use at all. The amount of care and attention to detail applied to Xrd is incredibly absurd and why no one else did it before they did. They practically invented and pioneered their own working conventions to achieve what they did.

Everything was pretty much hand crafted to mimic that 2D art style, every model in every pose during every animation for every angle.

And Alan sounded like he was having trouble to boot.

God rest his soul.

He can still get gadget though.

Tchyea next time.

It ain’t much but meh. Says it’s coming in Summer, if that wasn’t already known

i’m not liking the voices at all for any character. maybe because i’m so used to the original? the story telling seems different too but i’ll give it a shot anyways.

How long has it been since you watched? The triplets voices in the original are actually annoying as fuck.

I agree, i watched the first few episodes the other day.
I kinda want to choke the life out of Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
And don’t get me started with the original version of Webbigail.

I don’t get how Russi Taylor ever got work as a voice actress or how she got a honored title at Disney as " Disney Legends".

If you think about it, it was kinda jarring how only Uncle Scrooge and Mrs. Beakley had a normal voices.

Also, at least now the triplets are no longer interchangeable.

Most of the adults had reletivly normal voices don’t you think? Launchpad wasn’t exactly some out of the norm voice.

But I also don’t find Launchpad’s voice annoying.
It was very much a “character” voice.

I’m not saying he’s annoying. Every voice in the show is a “Character” voice. No one really sounds like Ms Beakley or Scrooge, they are very exaggerate versions of stereotyped vocal styles.
