I had a similar problem a while back. It works fine now on ps3 and xbox after I disconnected and reconnected to usb lines. However i haven’t tested it on the pc since
Thanks man, but I try everything and this piece of crap doesn´t work, now I got to send this to Bencao and he send me another.
I will not bother me anymore with this, stupid piece of crap , congratulations for Datel pcb to make life so simple
Just because you can’t get it working doesn’t mean it’s a piece of crap.
It´s just words, I love dual strike pcb, but when something runs me wrong i piss of. so don´t mess with me :nunchuck:
Firmware 3.0 BETA??? There’s no readme in there so I’m not sure what cool things it might do! Would anyone like to let me in on the secret?
I’m on fw 1.7.1 right now as I prefer setting config options on the stick itself (I’m switching between PS3 and 360 a bit these days so keep changing the default working mode) but am still interested…
were very close to release. Michael is going to vacation and after that we
re going to release We need some testers! If you`re interested you drop Michael (Ivlephisto) or me some lines
new ql stuff
MAME Keyboard Encoder.
I like mame and all the arcade stuff. Normally I play only on cabs, but I find it useful to start quickly MAME on the PC and just start playing with my favourite Arcade Stick. So we integrated a fully working Keyboard Encoder to Dual Strike!! No joke! This keyboard encoder has similar features like IPAC or other well-known Keyboard Encoder (KE) and more.
Features:
- 5 Different Button Layouts. Other KE can change Button Layout only once or at game start-up. Our KE can switch between keyboard layout on the fly when ever you want.
- Windows Configuration Application for configuration of the different button layouts.
- META Key via Start : Via pressing Start plus other buttons MAME setting like volume control, Settings Menu, Service Coin, Rest and such stuff can be controlled.
- MAME doesn`t need to be configured. Our KE has all the inputs to start a ROM wihtout help of additional keyboard. Just install MAME, add your ROMs and use your Dual Strike Arcade Stick to play it.
- Change between Players on the fly. Some two player games needs a specific button layout for each player. Now you can control both players with just one arcade stick.
Besides this we made some enhancement and xbox1 mode.
Thanks for the info!
I know I said I’ll be using 1.7.1 but I’d be up for testing this. Going to update my stick in a second but Virtualbox isn’t playing nice
So would a PiiWii board work with the Dualstrike’s USB pass through mode? I thought I read somewhere that the connection is basically a usb
So if it does work, i’d still have to make a special usb to wii connector cable then right?
BTW, there are only 4 MAME keyboard layouts.
It should work, but it would drain the Wiimote really fast - so it’s not recommended. Dual Strike is aimed at wired use…
I bought a dual moded fightpad from Gummowned, it’s so nice, thanks to you and to strogg. You save my life.
This is a somewhat newbie question… But I just ordered a TEasy board along with a Dual Strike.
My question is when I remove the USB cord from the original pcb and put into the wire in the dual strike USB screw terminals do I have to remove the plastic cover on each of the USB wires and then screw down?
Or by putting the wires and screwing down so it bites into through the plastic to establish contact to the copper. I saw a video tutorial and picture but no explanation of whether I need to take it a step further.
Thanks for your time.
You have to remove.
yeah, remove them, twirl them, fold them and make sure that they sit tight. USB cable in TE is poor quaility. Dual Strike is delivered for TEasy with 5 screw terminals and there 2 GND terminals. The TE usb cable has an additional GND shield wire. Screw this one to GND, too.
How did you guys remove the plastic cover off the tiny usb cables without clipping off the wire also? I’m also using the Teasy and the Dual Strike, I tried using the smallest diagonal cutter I have but it still isnt precise enough to take off the plastic cover and still keep the wire. Also, did you cut more into the USB cable to gain more wire length to connect to the dual strike, as what is there originally is not enough to connect to the screw terminals. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
We use wire stripper.
A tool made to remove the insulation of wire while keeping the conductors.
Ben Heck uses his teeth. I also approve of this.
Did you guys also cut into the usb cable to gain more length? Thanks.
Yes.
I use Extenz.
just installed a dual strike in my TE with the TEasy mod. quick question, how would i go about changing the configuration mode? if i wanted to do xbox as default and hold A on startup to get ps3?
