What do you guys think of Footwork/Jungle hybrid stuff?
You already know my take on it. I think its cool, but I can already see it becoming a thing to the point that it will be over saturated. Machinedrum does a great job with it, but I think the way that Juke/footwork is, its still trying to get its own identity without bein merged into other genres.

finally got to see andy c at basscon before edc a few weeks ago. must say i was pretty disappointed with his track selection. gawd the first 30 minutes of his 2012 hackney set is just so masterful but i was sorta bored the first half of this set. the second half was pretty close to the first half of the hackney set with take you higher and get free. heartbeat loud is just an awesome song and i rocked the fuck out hearing it live. oh and armani reign is straight garbage.

I forgot how boring music by ltj bukem is, and this was the reason why i couldn’t stand bukem, why does the tune have to be 10 minutes?
i have alot of respect for bukem as a dj but as an artist no, maybe back in the day when you could say he was pushing boundarys but he’s been living off his 1992 1993 sound for far to long
Also he also created an army of sheep, i remember back in the day people shunning jungle because it was dark too much ragga blah blah blah, the so called intelligent thing started in 94, and it split it got all snobby, and is still the same to this day, at the end of the day that was the beauty of the music you could switch it up, play some ragga jungle switch to some intelligent amen, back to ragga tosome breakbeat stuff like renegade snares to some darkside, then to some hardcore, and that would make a wicked set, but playing a set with one style of tune ALL the fucking time is so fucking safe and boring
If you want real drum and bass/ jungle you gotta go old skool when creatively it was at it’s peak, there’s tunes for everybody no matter what style you’re into, today most drum and bass is amen driven borefests, all trying to be photek or equinox or source direct, hardly anybody is afraid to make a slower bpm tune, some do but they are few and far between
