Seems like there can be cross play… kind of? Need more details, but it seems like it’ll be that Vita players can do local play with PS3. You can also transfer save data from Vita to PS3 and vice versa.
Cross-play between PS3/Vita would be Sorceress tits.

I just think it said that online co-op play is region-free (but it has to be 4 Vitas or 4 PS3s, no mixing). “Playstation Networkを 通じで、世界のプレイヤーと 共闘が可能” means “over PSN, you can unite with players worldwide.” You can also cross-save from PS3 to Vita, which isn’t news.
They gotta put cross-play in this game, before release or with a patch.
