I finally beat Ancient Dragon on Hard. Why does the game give you NO exp if you get a network error. It’s a real pain to chain stages together just to lose your progress over someone’s connection.
Just roflstomped the Infernal Archdemon before Double Score Bonus expired.

I have a question, maybe its been answered. When you figt that vampire broad is there any way to keep them village wentches from gettin grubed?
Kill the Vampires faster. If you’re a Fighter you can probably agro them.
Welp, urge to play is fading. Just posting to remind ppl to CREATE A BACKUP SAVE. Yes, I know pretty common practice but as a new PS3 owner I decided to put it off until later. Thought it wasn’t necessary yet because I wasn’t planing on hopping online till much later (after I complete Infernal difficulty with all characters.) Alas, even total online avoidance with all the hoopla surrounding hacked bones, freeze bugs, and corrupted data cannot safeguard against common stupidity. Guess I was so used to hitting triangle then x at the end dungeon appraisal screen to sell items that I had accidentally (probably through reflex) hit triangle then x at the file select screen and ended up formatting my save. I am almost in disbelief staring at the file select screen and the “NO DATA” displayed on all three file slots.
Played all characters equally and had just finished off the Ancient Dragon on Hard mode arriving at Infernal difficulty with each class at exactly Lvl.50 (well below the Lvl.65 cap on Hard) Played most of the game with a friend as an offline duo, and we put A LOT of effort into that save. Completed the game from Normal to Infernal, spending the majority of the time using really gimped builds to make things more challenging (I don’t think players realize how difficult this game can be when you play with some restrictions. Horded points and did not spend any on character item skills/defensive skills/spells.) No temple bonus’, No continues. No items + hot key skills/spells. No npcs. No grinding for Lvls/better gear (did finish quests tho.) All of it gone after a sequence of 2 button presses. Really, words cannot describe how I feel atm. Really was looking forward to playing with SRKers for Labyrinth of Chaos shenanigans post Infernal but I guess that will have to wait. Nothing left to do but suck it up and restart my file…just hope you guys are still hyped and playing by the time I reach end game.
TLDR: Create backup save. Don’t mash. I can be a real idiot sometimes…

So which is better? Bomb Satchel or Fire Barrel? I know i’m going to have some points left over after I get to 99, and I might as well get one of those since i’m going to max out powder mastery anyway for the fire fists.
I’m focusing on anti-boss so which one is better against bosses?
Fire Barrel is pretty baller on bosses.
Never tried bombs so I unno.
When the narrator says “The village girls have been turned, they are now vampires etc etc” after you defeat the vampires, he is referring to the vampires you just killed, not the village girls who may have been attacked but didn’t lose all their life points. They only turn into vampires if they lose all their life points.
Could always try out bombs vs barrels on Rannie. I’d take the one that does more damage… if either or actually does more damage.
Lol, but only because I firmly believe we need to intentionally screw ourselves from time to time just as a reminder not to do more stupid shit in the future. Really tho, can’t remember the last time I screwed myself this badly. Was really tempted to accompany my post with some obligatory you dun fk’d up/facepalm motivational image but I remembered I developed a particular distaste for them after browsing numerous forums filled with teens and their hackneyed internet memes.
Like I mentioned, been playing for the most part without the use item skills but I did fool around with Bomb Satchel and Fire Barrel on Rannie a bit. I usually end up specing my builds specifically for pvp and was really disappointed that you could not use bomb + barrel in tandem due to the cool down. Was really hoping for HnK Jagi shotgun/barrel shenanigans, like maybe do a high arcing barrel toss while dropping a bomb at you feet or maybe set a barrel in front of you then do a far bomb toss. Crack a barrel on the ground and set it on fire with a bomb, then wait for the air grab opportunities, mind games would’ve been pretty interesting. Anyway pls post your opinions as I have little experience with both and will prob end up investing in them eventually as well. Also did not know Powder Mastery gives a damage bonus to Magma Infusion, guess it’s considered “explosive.” Kinda annoyed at some of the vagueness in some of the skill descriptions really…
Thank God for Plus. I fucked myself over by picking up some hacked bones once (kept giving me a hacked bow that would freeze my game every single time) and I was able to just re-download my save file from the cloud.
Powder Mastery specifically says it increases fire damage. And Magma Infusion is fire damage… so…

Happened to me the first time I fought KR.
Does anyone one know what the second down trophy under gourmander(sp?) is? I know there is this one, legendary strike, and then the last hidden trophy. I want to full combo this game. Also Yes the patch greatly helps out casters. Almost capped my sorceress and almost done with LoC. Also as a side note me and a friend are going through as fighters. But Im using a stick so no healing items. I haven’t died yet but had a close call with a red dragon on normal. Also F the red in LoC.

Ah thanks, I just realized the in game skill description. To be fair I usually rely on the online skill calculator over at http://fruitriin.sakura.ne.jp/DrgnsCrwnSS/eng/ for my skill builds. For some reason it pretty much eludes any mention of fire based attacks only describing the skill as “Increases explosive damage.” I’ll admit I assumed it was the same for the in game text.
