So today I realized how useless and expensive reviving AI NPCs is. I did maybe a six or seven chain run through path A dungeons in order to level up a bit before tackling B path dungeons (on hard). I don’t know why, but after I stopped, I had lost roughly 90% of my 300k-ish gold. Never again. Useless AI.
NPCs are only useful if they greatly outlevel the content, and even then they can still be pretty bad. They constantly stand in traps and fire, too.
I found one of those hacked piles of bones today. I kept getting a hacked potion that sold for 12 million every time I tried burying it, but afterwards I found out you can actually force the character to change which bag they have equipped. I tried switching the character’s bag over to one that only contained default equipment and was able to bury it without getting the hacked potion. So I guess that’s a workaround?
I tried burying this one hacked character 5 times in a row, and every time she gave me a glitched bow. Chiaki was the characters name, I think.
After the fifth time, I just came to the conclusion that she was always going to give me that damn bow. The fact that she always gave me the same item every time gives me the impression that whether they give you an item or not is dictated when you pick them up rather than when you bury them.
By revive I meant buying back a continue, not reviving them at the temple. I thought continues were usually 1-3k a pop… so how the hell did I lose 300k gold?
I just realized, after using a Divine Gold Fighter for many many hours, that the Divine Gold Fighter looks an awful lot like the Undead Hero from Guardian Heroes.
I was roughly the same level when I finished hard mode. Just jump into some random rooms and run a few dungeons. My wizard jump from level 62 to 78 in like two runs.
Got done doing a chain. Gone up 10 levels. I’m going to be putting more of a focus on CC as the enemies on Infernal can be pure bullshit at times. My axe having a affect to turn enemies into stone was a huge help.
I just got some Dwarf Hammers that have a 20% chance for explosive grabs.
Shits cray.
I hope the percentages on weapons scales higher in higher levels, so I can have a chance of getting 50% chance for explosive grab hammers or something.
I’m itching real bad for that last level up and some SP so I can get the last point in Lethal Fists. Then I think my Dwarf will do more damage unarmed than armed, especially since I have 20% increased damage to unarmed combat gloves. Any idea if that mod rolls on any other items?
Is there anything special about items you get from bones that can’t be repaired? Or are they just use it til you break it items?
Got the coliseum trophy by fighting my NPCs 10 times. Can’t seem to get the jail one no matter how many times I fuck up Mr. Apples. And the chef trophy seems impossible.
@BEWD and DJ Hyper Kid need to get at me when they’re playing. I’m offering a free Dungeon-Owning service here, and no one wants to take advantage of it
