Damn, that was awesome.
What was up with the sequences where the guys seemed to have both infinitie health and infinitie sparking? It happened when Goku and Vegeta had their teleport duel and again when Gogeta was beating on Janemba.
Maybe its a gimmick in the story mode. That looks like so much fun.
good vid sprawlers…it would have been infinitely awesome if you had somehow snuck a tutorial for this game in there, especially during the frozen water training scene XD
By the way, just finally finished editting the last fight… SSJ Goku vs SSJ Vegeta. It barely makes it to a straight up five minute battle.
Now all I’ve got to do is the short credits, put the video together, then upload it. And as I upload that, I will put the whole movie together in one file and upload it onto filefront. There you’ll be able to DL it and stream the whole thing.
I’m watching it now…it’s pretty good spralwers but i’m gonna immediately lol @ tien doing an abnormal and exagerated stance while talking unlike everyone else.
Ok i’ve been playing tenkai 2 with my buddies and i don’t know if this has been adressed so i’ll bring it up…Has anyone noticed the weird properties on Turles’ Killdrive? It’s like if you’re so much as a few inches not facing the person then you get rocked for free.
Ok so I need you guys opinion on something. Were setting up for this tournament in October and just a few days ago one of our best players went up against 1 of the best in NY and there was alot of shittalk and drama behind it. The match itself was good and Im only sad I dont have a camcorder so I couldnt record any of it but anyway. Were debating tiers and who should/shouldnt be banned. SS4Vegita and Goku will be banned as well as Gogeta simply for the obvious reasons. They do way too much damage for a large majority of the cast to even handle. Most of the GT characters will be banned with the exception of Shenron and Uub. However we were debating Super 17 who is also very powered and at first I said to leave him in but looking at his priority of moves and damage with his KI blast hes highly considered in the banned department. Grab gives him a portion of life back, he regenerates KI and his KI super does absured amount of damage not to mention from a grab he gets two stock KI bar. Im just trying to get some opinions from different ppl so do share! Who do you think should/shouldnt be banned from tournament play.
With the exception of SSJ4 Goku, SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJ4 Vegeta should have major, major trouble dealing any high damage in the first place. Unless you’re telling me that these guys are actually capable of doing well despite having easy to teleport escape charge attacks and easy to step in charge attacks. If so I’d definitely like to see it (or have it pretty well explained). I played my cousin’s SSJ4 Vegeta with my Tien and I absolutely crushed him. It was so easy to time step ins and teleport escapes. He shouldn’t have used charge attacks so often, but I don’t see him dealing “too much damage for the rest of the cast to handle” with just plain square attacks. Super Trunks owns SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJ4 Vegeta anyday
Next time I see my cousin, I’ll have to record a vid of one of us using SSJ4 Gogeta. He isn’t that great, he’s average or slightly above average at best.
Unless nobody is good at timing teleport escapes, there’s no reason why Super 17 should be banned. From my experiences, Tenkaichi 2 requires way more timing than your average fighting game.
I would say the only characters worth banning are Gt. Saiyaman, SSJ3 Goku and Super 13 because of SEW. But there are a decent amount of match ups where their SEW isn’t so hot (like against Tapion and his hero’s flute).
I’ve faced that with a bunch of other moves too, like burning attack. Sometimes the attack can turn you to the side and rock you. Oh and can you answer my question? It’d be very nice to know, if you remember.
I’d wait for BT3. Unless you can’t wait a few months.
Just considering the different things that you can do after a step in after watching them teleport…you have to choice of trying to charge it the gut stun, sweep, lift kick if your character has them and some characters have the extra sway…plus there’s no telling what the other person is going to do after they teleport. they could just block coming out of the teleport and if you don’t have gut stun, sweep, etc charged up all the way it’s just gonna get stuffed by normal guard…I’m just trying to say steping in isn’t guaranteed especially if they can just tag you once and teleport then do it again to ensure that they get around you…This is just from my experience.
awwww…ss4 vegeta is banned? :(…that’s my best character besides Vegeta(the one that has super vegeta) oh well…i guess it’s for the best i suppose however i would have to disagree somewhat about them doing so much damage that they can’t keep up…and that’s just because i believe even though it’s an uphill battle it could probably still be won if the character doesn’t do anything stupid…and even though i do find super 17 to be a bastard when i have to fight against my friends i still believe the difficulty lies in my own fault…every chance i get i should be ducking that throw attempt or teching it because I KNOW it’s coming…even the stupid retarded setup that you can do with his charged up ki blasts I feel is my fault for getting hit by it and not moving out of the way before they ki hits me. I just feel there always seems to be something that you can do in this game to get around most of the things in this game besides the infinites from the back.
Being able to deal really high damage is irrelevant if your ability to use charged attacks is limited. SSJ4 Vegeta and SSJ4 Gogeta have an especially hard time making any decent use of charge attacks since they come out so quickly. I honestly can’t picture SSJ4 Gogeta (especially SSJ4 Vegeta, he’s even worse off) doing that well in a tournament where people are good at timing their step ins and teleport escapes.
I’d take Chiaotzu over those guys anyday. Much better moveset (with all the flying kicks), more flexibility with his charge attacks since they charge slower, much better B1s and low costing B2s. Actually if you teleport a charge attack with him, you can use telekenesis to freeze the enemy and have a guaranteed shot at landing a B2. Not too shabby.
Then again this is all from my competitive experience and discussing tiers with people on GameFAQs. All the good players I discussed tiers with view SSJ4 Gogeta as an average character, or even worse, a sucky one. I don’t think he sucks… but if people find him overpowered, that’s a clear sign of the type of people that are playing at the tournament. I really don’t want to sound like an ass here, but if people actually want to ban SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJ4 Vegeta… then I’m worried about the actual level of competition and how the tourney will play out. Tenkaichi 2 is one of the few games where timing is one of the major deciding factors of a match. If you can’t time those step ins and teleports, you won’t stand a chance against people who spam B2s and make frequent use of charge attacks to lengthen combos and improve their damage.
I think it’d be nice to talk about SSJ4 Gogeta especially. Just so we make sure we’re on the same page. Is there anything other than his sheer damage that lets him atone for his flaws? Is there something about him that lets him deal all that damage despite his flaws? Because I really can’t picture SSJ4 Gogeta doing well in a tournament.
I’m with u on that 1. I rather play with Burter than SSJ4 Gogeta. He not a bad character but in this game it is Absoluty all about timing. If you can side step and teleport you can almost run your opponent into the ground. (espically against mindless spamers).
