Isn’t Dimps the same company that made that last arcade Yuu Yuu Hakusho fighter that was such big news, then dropped right off the map as soon as it came out (guess it sucked)? In that scene in the right page, bottom middle, the Goku vs Vegeta matchup, the life and power bars look kinda the same as YYH…

I REALLY REALLY like how they set up the fights like how fights are in other 3D fighters. This looks to be the best thus far. I noticed there isn’t a sight of Buu in the trailer… Guess that means my boy Vegito won’t be in it.:sad:
I’ve never been a huge fan of the Budokai (or Tenkaichi) games, but the story mode alone has me considering this.

Hell yeah! It’s finally time they revamped Budokai. Looks like bits and pieces of improved material from all previous Budokai games in one package. I seem some of them Shin Budokai goodness in there too. Game gets intenser in every new one.
Chances of it not sucking are low. There was a time when it seemed like developers were going to put a legit effort into the games, as opposed to only making a shallow title with good presentation but little thought on gameplay. After the last few games it does not look like anything has changed.
Flashy presentation on the outside so the anime fans will buy into it and companies make a quick buck, crappy gameplay on the inside.
all fighters are at a disadvantages online and thats the only reason i would really get it, so it makes me feel like “the hell??” when i know they could just bring out a mega advaced version of tenkaichi out for those consoles
the game looks good, but as true grave said it’s highly possible theyre out to fuck us over
BUT- i doubt if its the same developers that made bodoukai -a game with dedicated players- will downgrade the game, it will be good, good for people offline
unless they full the title up with A LOT of things
well from the looks of it they went back to the budokai 3 system but changed some stuff to it obviously. looks like a new counter system was put in and a whole new dragon rush was added. what they need to do though is get rid of capsules, TCs, and hyper mode and change up the combos for each character though that way the game doesnt resort to repetitive guard cancels and weak combos.
Yeah, this looks like a remixed Budokai Fighting engine to me.
Which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
