Yeah the director of the PS3 Naruto game, Ultimate Ninja Storm confirmed there will be no online play, but there will be downloadable content at least.

There’s no point making fighting games if they’re not going to be in the arcade or not going to be playable online…

Anyone figure out how to control the space in this game?

I tried energy blasts, but all the enemy does is circle around. Which I would try if I wasn’t stuck in the animation.

Energy blasts that aren’t special seem useless.

Well considering they give you every possible way to dodge attacks and get in close to counter…space control is probably not the best avenue to venture down.

how do you do the ultimate move attacks? i know ultimates are up+circle, but i dunno what the ultimate move is.:confused: is it the thing where you knock them away and do a rush super ala tenkaichi? help please

Game seems like Shin Budokai 2 PLUS. I like it. Though, it looked as though teleport only cost 1 meter. Will this be a problem? It was a problem in Budokai 3 when they cost 3 meters.

That’s what I’m thinking, they can either teleport from energy blasts, power leveling, or even dodging physical attacks.

Kinda annoying, no way to control the enemy’s movement.

I can do the same thing but not in my vid. long combs r useless til the opponent is tired/dizzy because of the easy teleporting .

Does hitting the opponent in the back have any significance? Like, can they still teleport?

Just dl’ed the demo on xbl this morning, goodshit so many different button inputs IMO all dbz games sucked except budokai3 which was awesome but BL seems like it could have a strong online multiplayer, and I wonder how the lag will be. In any event i’m not getting this anytime soon I need to send my 360 in for repairs for the 3rd time ughh, then get gta4 and rockband but after that I’ll probably get this.

There was a golden rule in competitive play for Budokai 3.

“He who teleports first has lost.”

Basically you want to apply pressure on your opponent, and force them to telepost to use up ki. If they teleport attack then you can teleport and so and so on until they have no ki and you still have some. Then you can proceed to combo them uninhibited.

But then, there is a way to teleport without attacking in B3. Just hold the guard button. So you could teleport and then back off to get out of your opponents pressure.

Competitive Budokai is mostly just about safe pressure strings through cancel combos and mix-ups too. Like do a cancel combo into a throw when your opponent is blocking. If your opponent didn’t teleport then you get the grab, unless they throw break, but those were kind of hard to do consistently. And oif course you need fast reaction time to be able to teleport out of the way or dodge when you need too.

Budokai is just all-out offense all the time and the only way to avoid that offense is to react fast. Control your opponent through your offense and you will win.

No. Not in this game my friends.

Just attack.

Also hitting your opponent in the back does a bit more damage I think and they recieve more hitstun. So if they lack the ki to teleport you can string longer combos.

Exactly. Just like in B3, you need to only use excessive combos when the ki bar is low (in this case, the orange bar at the bottom).

They can still teleport. It won’t change anything except for maybe the damage. In B3, I remember getting more damage for hits from behind.
