Nice combo. Something important here: Vanish stops BOTH people but leaves them in a frozen state longer than you, so Vanish is able to extend hitstun without actually using hitstop. That’s…nonsense.

There’re alot of cool characters coming out of Super, I wouldn’t be surprised if they mostly ignored the GT characters.

I like Hit and Beerus. Everything else has been a really big miss for me.

Beerus is probably my favourite new character, purely because he doesn’t look reminiscent of any previous character outside of being an animal.

theres videos of people doing the teleport/rc then canceling it with the dragon rush thing to home back in and combo again. Which is why I said in one my very first questiosn about the game is what is stopping everyone from just dragon rushing over and over again? Is there some huge damage buffer or tech buffer? Because theres been videos of people doing it multiple times in a row and the combo meter did not turn blue. maybe just people mashing and not even putting 2 and 2 together to say I guess.

Since we haven’t seen any sort of alternative form of blocking (outside of the little pushback parry thing), I wonder if this game has defenseless aerial opponent’s against grounded? That is almost unheard of in an ArcSys game, but almost every game disallows normal aerial blocking against grounded attacks, usually games substitute that with another form of defense (3S had parries, GG uses faultless and so on).

Preeetty sure Frieza’s elbow attack in that gif was a grounded attack, but Gohan blocked it. Could be wrong though.

You definitely can. I mean, technically that gif just showed a way, but super dash after vanish is the BnB into other shit so far.

Completely right. I’m not sure how I didn’t connect the dots on this one. Still, if they aren’t in hit/blockstun I’ve seen people punish it, namely in Max’s vids where there were parries on reaction into super dash.

I assume you mean doing the dust version over and over right? (Sideways causes snapback) I’ve seen it happen too, but there’s an initial hit that a dragon rush follow-up causes that won’t connect into another one so far. So you have to make a creative way to lead into another dragon rush. I’m guessing there’ll be too much scaling to do it too many times, but it’s all in theory.

you can block grounded attacks while in the air i guess, that elbow is definitely a ground attack to me… even tho that would make antiairing impossible o.o maybe the elbow is not ground or it’s considered airborne?

EDIT: watching some gameplays and yes, that elbow looks like to be frieza’s M, so i guess you can airblock grounded normals but probably not specials

EDIT 2: you can block specials as well when in the air… that sounds stupid. i hope it’s a “perfect” block that makes you able to block ground stuff when on air

If P4A is any indication, if there isn’t an alternative way of blocking on DBFX is safe to assume that you can block grounded normals while airbound.

ok i just found a vid where goku vanishes and after it he tries to SD but you can easily tech even after the wall bounce (cause of vanish attack if close to the wall) or just regularly

so unless you don’t tech, you can’t be comboed from a vanish it seems
