I may have it backwards. Either way, the speed change is an incredibke component to it.
I find it’s quiet hard to connect Broly’s assist in the corner for combo extension when you’re pinning someone as the ball is not on screen for quiet long in this situation.
Yeah, Broly’s assist is an above average neutral assist and a below average combo extender.
What you think of it probably depends on what you’re looking for.

Totally agreed. I dont think its combo extensiin ability is the greatest, but its neutral game applications for making unga shit safe, is pretty great along with standard blockstring stuff and its range.
It wobt be long till people realize its power.
Vegeta assist is coldstar and it runs the game even though that assist was barely upper mid in marvel save for tod unblockable teams. When 16 assist is considered upper mid because it doesnt KD and it has halfscreen range with fast startup… that means that assists in this game are judged on a much more mild bell curve.

This game is actually retarded. The more I play it the more I hate it. It’s the SFV of ArcSys fighters, worse even. And yet it gets nothing but praise. Also, fuck Bardock. Not only does he look like Goku, he also plays like your average Sayian, with nothing new or interesting. Just better normals and better damage, because why not. That’s definitely what the game needed.

I have to play it first to form my opinion. And I did stop for a while but got back to try out the DLC chars and play for a bit. I’m not saying the game isn’t fun to play or what not. Just that I think the game is very poorly designed in a lot of areas.

Any game that I enjoyed at first then grew to hate (overwatch, paragon, sf4, sfv) got dropped with a quickness and I act like they never existed.
Only idiots complain about shit and stick to it.

Y’know I kind of agree with you. This game really represents the devolution of fighting games. Neutral is whack as fuck, cause fuck working to get in, just super dash while behind an assist or vanish. No variation in play styles, every character has the same game plan and as a result you end up with only the characters who are the best at that game plan seeing any real play. It’s no surprise that the teams you end up seeing in top 3 at tournaments are some variation of cell/kid buu/Adult gohan/vegeta.

If you were expecting some amazing variety from a series where the majority of characters do the same thing, then I just do not know what to say.
Guilty Gear, BlazBlue and KoF XIV still exist btw.
They are indeed superior fighting games to DBFZ.
So go play them.
Or not and just be pissed that FighterZ was not EVERYTHING you needed it to be.

Well, sometimes people stick with games because the games they like the most aren’t actually played by much people. Look at me for example. I love Nitroplus Blasterz to death and I do everything to support it. I invite people to games everytime I can (the only 5 people that actually play this game in my country), I upload ft10’s, combo videos (I had my combo video featured on SRK’s front page once, yay) and help begginers on Discord. But there are sometimes when I don’t find anyone to play (the online is a wasteland), and I have to either play SFV or something else. Worse, where I live you either play SFV, DBFZ, Smash or you don’t go to tournaments at all. I already talked with the TO but the response was basically: “I don’t think we will be ever able to get more than 3 people here to play Nitroplus”. I’m still working on trying to convince people to play the game, but it’s not that easy.
So, I’m kinda forced to play the popular game that I tolerate, but doesn’t really like. And the only way I find to ease the frustration I fell by playing the game is talking shit about it.

This so much. I dont hate dbfz at all really but i understand the sentiment. I was “forced” to play sf5 which i fucking hate (though it does have a few saving graces) simply because it was popular and stable online versus everything else. Playing games that you love, in training mode only, fucking sucks. If i had it my way id be playing GG all the time. But its online is too trash for me and very few people play it where i live.
At the end of the day if you want consustent competition you have to play the popular game.
New topic, how do people feel about 21. I just found her a couple of days ago and she literally ticks every box for me except having a reversal.

I stopped liking SFIV, so I dropped it and played nothing for quite some time. It felt like a very easy decision for me to make at the time.

Man… shit… ready player 1 was fucking amazing. I thought it would be shit, then people said it was good so i thought it would be decent. Just finished it. This shit is on avatar level imo. Amazing.
Ok back to dbfz… 21 gets 5-6k meterless depending on starter and how many assist extensions she has. Im getting easy mode 5.5k for one assist extension and one meter.
21 is great and probably about equal to Goku Black in the tiers. I think the only reason we don’t see more of her is that most people have their teams selected long before they unlock her.
She’s got a couple of dominant normals and accessible damage, like you said. Her demerits are that her lights are stubby, and that her assist projectile speed makes timing certain combo extensions with it range from tight to impractical.
