Dragon Ball FighterZ: Legendary Saiyans Edition

Broly can deploy his Super normally or he can do a ‘slow ball’. The slow ball is just that and travels much slower as a small sphere before exploding when nearing an enemy. By using the slow ball, it took longer to travel to the groud and Broly just straight recovered before he landed.

Looks like Broly doesn’t have a safe blockstring …

Definitely having more fun with broly. He s pretty unique.

Not sure how he’ll do at top level play but there is potential there

In a meta dominated by pressure, anyone who can say ‘Nah fuck that’ and immediately reverse the situation is valued. Broly brings that with his Juggernaut charge. The question will be if that is outweighed by his cons

Why would he need one? All that would make people do is not want to press a button and not get their faces stuffed by one of his heavy armor specials. The safety is in the fear

Actually curious on which frames his armor starts on and if they are similiar

I believe his M Head Crash is frame 1 or VERY close to it. If you’re just dicking around in Training perhaps that’s something you could test

And he seems to have a safe string with his fireball. He offense seems to be scary on the fact that so many things have armor. Didn’t know even j.m has armor

Don’t know how true it is but someone mentioned on a document that armor on normals start at frame 9 while armor on his specials start at frame 6.

Saw a clip of broly armoring through bardock’s jab after a blocked overhead so at the very worst armor starts on frame 6.

His j.m is kind of ridiculous even without the armor. Also he can do j.s right off the ground.

Can even do it lower than the one in the video but won’t be able to get this quick of an air dash.

Also, anyone else feel that Bardock’s 236M is faster than any of his L attacks? It seems absurdly fast. (Checked, placebo).

2L = 8 frame
214H = 8 frame
214M = 9 frame
236M = 9 frame
236H = 9 frame
236HS = 9 frame

Alright, so how does Bardock open people up? I guessed earlier that he was footsie based in how he would get his combos, going bait and punish with his advancing specials. Has anyone found anything more direct than that?

jM can hit twice, so he has a ghetto version of the piccolo jump mixup. 236L>assist>combo is great to interrupt or whiff punish from a decent range.

His 214 specials are overhead, but only at the end, so not really a mixup once people wise up.

As an aside, his assist seems pretty good. Makes for easy combo extensions since he keeps them low to the ground, and it is incredibly fast. Might be fastest assist in the game?

Round start 236L + assist.

  • Counter: Jump back air dash punish (will not work against beam/horizontal controlling assists).
  • Anticounter: dash jM(2-hits)-jL-jH on block for + advantage. Substitute jH with 2H if it hits.

Has the cell overhead mixup with 214L or 214H.

Definitely fastest assist in the game. Cell calling out Bardock assist + instant IAD jM-jL is a freebie for momentum.

TK 236M is -5 on block btw. If perfectly timed, can do 1100 damage instead of default 900 damage.

Biggest thing I didn’t like about Bardock was that he can’t iad j.m to cross you up like a lot of characters can do. It’s one of my mains ways of opening people up lol

Does a proper frame data spreadsheet exist? The one I see online uses the OG method (which I’m not even sure if it’s consistent throughout the board) and doesn’t use the modern frame data technique. It gave me confusions and had to edit the above list since the method of calculation was not explained (most people assume it’s the modern technique being used).

Just end a blockstring into 236S, if A.Gohan’s mile long 2M can’t punish I don’t anything else could…
