Dragon Ball FighterZ: Legendary Saiyans Edition

I actually think vanish is in a decent spot since there are things you can do to counter it. The only way they are guaranteed frame advantage is if it’s a tight blockstring on the ground and in that case, spending a bar to have plus frames is not that bad

Similarly, if the floor is lava normally the situation is actually kind of flipped for super dash. Only a few characters can reliably counter hit it from the air, but on the ground it’s simple for everyone.

I think my biggest vanish gripe atm is that it kind of snuffs out trying to make come-backs on a pixel of health.

The floor will always be lava in games where you can block in the air because high/lows are a thing. Exposing yourself to a 5 way mixup will never not be powerful. The question is more about how much you will get burned. Marvel has that shit on full blast since one touch = death and characters lack the options to escape it/provide counterplay. Fighterz is much cooler since the game is much more forgiving (at the moment) and everyone has multiple different counterplay moves that force your opponent to be much more on point with their mixups

It’s when, after a full blockstring, with assist extension, a player Vanishes to reset the string. Especially given how meter builds so quickly even for things such as approaching a character… There are a few ways out of it, just that I wouldn’t have made that of all mechanics, a plus situation.

The primary difference is in marvel your super jump goes higher, your fireballs can’t be negated with a meterless fireball move that goes fullscreen and homes in on you, and you have pushblock for when your opponent manages glancing blocks against you.

So finally hit the mark where I’m constantly getting ragequitters or people who leave after one game.

Shits mad discouraging bro. . .

You would think that with the length of time it takes to get into a match people would play it out.

At this point I’m more annoyed about not getting a rematch than about rage quitters. Usually I just laugh about rage quits.

Ok, Teen Gohan is fun again after finally figuring out his (somewhat shitty) neutral game ie. press less shit, with some air S, more ground 236L/M + assist. Found my new crack character.

This character shits out damage even off jabs, and can hurt feelings in the corner. Bomb loops are fun yet not even necessary with Tien Assist. Air 236 M (lightning legs) > Tien assist = high damage combo starters depending on screen location. Nearly 6k damage most places on screen with Tien assist + 2 meters, 5k+ with one, and 4K with none.

T. Gohan/Vegeta/Tien working pretty damn well, although I hate that I’m not using Ginyu. :frowning:

This right here gets me so salty even though I shouldn’t let it. I’m already pretty bad and don’t win very often, but each loss is like 3 since I play the whole set. Each win is just 1 because they duck out. Wish I could do better to shrug it off.

If people are avoiding the runback then you at least know that there is a very good chance it would have been totally free anyways.

Placed third at a local tournament over the weekend. I still have lots more to work on, online gimmicks don’t work on real players lol

Bro! Who you telling? Like thankfully I have a offline scene to practice with but still majority of my time I’m playing online and I use that time to try new ideas and stuff. So even when I shouldn’t be salty about these “One N’ Done” and rage quitters, it still gets to me lol

I realize now that yamcha is my only good character lol

Found some answers for post superdash. Blue Goku 4M clashes with 21’s jM. Gotenks reversal 214L or clashes too, but nothing beats this move on clashes so it’s pretty free. Combo after with assists.

Funny thing I found out is that when that move clashes you can cancel into other normals. Maybe it works with every special in the game dunno.

Dayumn. Have a like to make you feel better.

Surprised this was not brought up yet. Seems good for the most part… although unsure about the positioning for Tien/Piccolo.

Thoughts?

Not bad. 21 has some pretty long ass normals and in this game that’s always good. Not sure if her mix up matches her normals, but if you can force people to block in this game that’s usually good enough to get started.

Not sure about the lower tier characters only being A minus. Definitely think there’s some B level characters at the minimum. Vegeta should really be S tier just on the fact that you basically need him in order to have an optimal team, but A plus is fair considering he isn’t going to tear all 3 characters away on point (but still has solid neutral tools, some that only he has).

Yeah the biggest problem with his tier list is the low tier being A- that’s jus his way of saying that tiers don’t matter and you should be able to win with anyone and that all his a gohan wins are totally legit because everyone else is so good. Sorry to say it that way but that’s what I really think prompted his list. Also, it’s kinda a hit to sonicfox in a way having 16 be the best overall, and yet black and hit are also very high. I don’t think black or hit is that high and I think a gohan is the best right now.

Having said that, I think foxes new team is designed to beat goichis team. A gohan loses a tier against smaller characters because he can’t just blockstring them all day.

Foxes new team seems to be cell/Kid Buu/gotenks according to his twitter. I think kid and gotenks are specifically there to counter A gohan.

I would switch Kid Buu and Cell’s position personally.
C21 is at the right place. Her neutral is really sick. Not only her normals.
Hit and Black are at the right place too.
The only exception is Majin Buu, he’s stronger than his A- position here.

Except for Hit and Gotenks, S+ to A+ is what you see the most in teams.
