Shit, they really dumbed it down in terms of controls… I hope it does not lead to really stupid shit.
Zangya maybe
“Super dash: A homing move you can use to approach the opponent while avoiding ki blasts”
So is this pretty much all projectiles then? Sorta reminds me of IaMP.
I really liked IaMPs super oppressive projectiles, but you could go through them with graze (but susceptible to physical attacks anytime you are grazing). If super dash can only go towards the opponent then there wont be much thought into it though. If you can graze through projectiles then projectiles need to be crazy good, plus you need to be able to counter a graze with physical attacks ( so the projectiles need to stay out long enough, or you need to recover quickly)
The important part isn’t the controls when it comes to ArcSys fighters, it’s the juggles. Even in the official gameplay you see dropped combos because the hitstun deteriorated too much. Optimizing those and optimizing converting stray hits is where the money is gonna be.
I think probably just the normal ones. I’d be surprised if this went through specials and there is no way it evades supers.
Those are very basic movesets in terms of inputs huh. No DPs even. I guess Arcsys decided to optimize that for casuals since DB has such a gigantic fandom even today
I like that, I cannot stress how much I want my friends to be able to play with me.
Damn, three moves? And only Frieza has a transformation?
“the perfect character”
oh i know
I agree. Make sacrifices where you can as long as the fundamental gameplay is good it will be fine. This game is a good opportunity to draw in huge numbers of new players. DBZ is about the only thing that has better recognition and a larger fanbase than SF itself.
Layout seems pretty much Blazblue x Marvel assuming Dragon Rush is the equivalent of a throw (does it mean throws can launch opponents into air combos then?)
I’m only slightly annoyed by homing dash being A+B because it’s not comfortable to do on stick with a classic Marvel layout. I guess some remapping will be needed.
Movesets look very shorts and simple though, pretty unlikely from an ArcSys fighter. Maybe they didn’t want to add too much stuff because it’s 3v3?
I like the simple inputs as well. I’m sure they will have some more complex characters in the future.
ASW Installs aren’t always the most amazing things as it is, so I’m fine with them being limited. Chances are DB Super Goku and Vegeta will get their own slots.
I know people will complain “WHY ARE THEY GETTING MULTIPLE SLOTS?!” but since it’s a 3v3 fighter, they need to pad out the roster and Super Clones are a pretty easy way to do so.
so frieza has projectile heavy attacks like in mvc2… interesting…
it will be hilarious if this becomes mvc2 more than mvc3/i, where the team buildup is point to build meter/second char to do the heavy work/assist only jobber
Commands for the Saiyan moves in the spoiler.
So the move lists are like Uniel. That’s cool
I am sure that it means the ki blast made with the ki attack button, not the special projectiles like the kamehamehas.
I love how it still keeps the name Solar Kamehameha.
