I was kinda hoping hits time skip might be that, memory is fuzzy but is it samurai showdown, darkstalkers or both where some characters or maybe it was a mechanic where you slowed down time, and you could move at the same speed, but the opponent was moving way slower and was basically forced to eat your mix ups for awhile. I think that would have been a more neat way to do his stuffā¦

It seems a little strange to me since obviously going by the scans they want to recreate some of the scenes from the manga and anime. And if you just end with regular goku blackā¦well wtf do you really logically do then? It didnt end thereā¦ so maybe first dlc is merged zamasu and vegito then? If they go with the idea of pairs at least that seems to make the most logical sense. Only others I could think is vegito and gogeta but im guessing that wouldnt happen. Or a vegito and super buu which again seems pretty doubtfulā¦

Nah, when I read Time Skip and Time Stop, for the purpose of gameplay, thatāll imply either the character āteleportingā (though with possible added ābonusā of also literally skipping seconds off the fight clock!) or an all-out stage and character freeze (except for the caster).
I have a real funny feeling Hit might be the Toki (of Fist of the North Star by ArkSys!) of this gameā¦though hopefully nowhere near as stupidly overpowered as he was.

While Broly is popular it seems pretty clear that in this first run they are focusing on characters who are relevant to the main canon. We even said months ago while speculating who would be coming out who the absolute essentials would need to be and we came up with around 28-30 people. All 24 of the characters in this game were on the list we agreed upon would be an absolute must except for SSB Goku and Vegeta who donāt really fight much differently than their counterparts to warrant their own slot.

3 of the DLC characters Iāve heard of include Broly, Base form Goku (it was noted to me that he does use the Spirit Bomb), and Base form Vegeta. I am clarifying by calling them āBase formā instead of āRegularā since that confused people originally despite being the same thing. Their inclusion is something I know is going to be highly controversial and I will get into why further down.
More characters that I know about but not all of their statuses of launch or DLC are Bardock (whom I originally heard would be DLC, but that was only from one source that I have never heard back from), Raditz (I was told that heād be DLC by only one source in particular), Zarbon (that same source that says that Raditz is DLC claims Zarbon is in, but no clarification if heās launch or DLC), and Goku Black (in his Rose form, no clarification if launch or DLC)
Beerus and Hit are launch roster characters though.
I was told that Goku Black was even finished 3 months ago, and that Broly, Base form Goku, and Base form Vegeta were finished during the gameās main development with Goku Black. I think people should make some noise if those 3 (or 4 if Goku Black is withheld) were made alongside the launch game, but are going to be held back as DLC like Iāve been told.
With the controversy out of the way, there is a Switch port in the works. Unreal Engine 4ās UE4.15 is Switch-friendly, so that may explain why the Switch port is coming later. I do not know what Unreal Engine 4 version it uses for the others. The much demanded Nintendo Switch version will likely come out next year in the autumn or winter.
For some personal history, the season pass was originally leaked to me as some exclusive pass featuring saiyans (I originally heard about Broly and Bardock being DLC characters). Since the FighterZ Pass was revealed, Iāve heard much more since originally leaking those two. Iāve been told the game will be supported for 2 years by multiple sources. I donāt know if that pass of 8 characters accounts for the first year or both. I am going to assume it means just the first year. Bandai Namco is reportedly, according to the people I have talked to, taking a very serious approach with this game having a lengthy life and long term support. Including an esports push.

Yeah +1 to the Dragon ball system sounding dumb as all hell. Getting a menu in the middle of a match is the most flow-disrupting thing Iāve seen in the genre.

ON TOPIC, I am very glad that Beerus, Hit and Black all made it into the launch roster. Those are easily the 3 must-grab characters from DBS other than perhaps Kefla and Jiren.
