One of my best friends paid $1100 for ear buds, he even had to get a mold of his ears from an Otolaryngologist to send to the company so his ear buds would be made to specifically fit his ears. The sound quality was GDLK, but I wouldn’t pay that much for ear buds then again it’s his money to do with whatever he wants with and he seems happy so I guess it was worth it.

Headphones is one of the most played out gimmicks the past few years.
Beats are popular because they are the first set of headphone made specifically for hip hop and electronica. The low register for deep bass is phenomenal. Also the noise cancelling on outside sound is great. Everything about the beats are great even though they are pricey.

Dude, a good pair of Pioneers or Sennheisers will cost almost as much as the Beats Mixr or Beats Solos HD.
I have a pair of Sennheiser and I had a pair of Shure SRH750. They arent good for hip hop.
Again, Beats were made specifically for fans of music with low deep bass. The rumble and boom of hip hop and dance music is way better on Beats.
IIRC the newer beats are more equalized, the first generation beats have REALLY deep bass that made your ears vibrate at high volumes. I wish I had a pair of those.

This reminds me. Sony used to have headphones you’d see all over the place, like Walmart and everything. They were $20 or so. God damn, did those things pound. Never tried Beats. I’d only have use for 'phones in the gym…And I’d be wearing big headphones in the gym.
I don’t like ear buds, that said. But I use them.
I get my earphones from RiteAid for $10. Even though they begin to malfunction every 3 months they only cost me $10.
I do have a pair of Beats that were a gift. If I don’t need to cancel noise I don’t use em. Giant headphones are too uncomfortable. Feels like I’m wearing a motorcycle helmet.
