Hey, idk if this is the right forum, but it seemed like the best bet. I don’t currently own an XBOX360, but I hope to eventually get one. Is it possible to get the digital version of umvc3 before it’s unavailable and then download it to the system later?

The sale is only for the DLC, not the game.

Also try here.

The game is available for $5.09 until December 23rd. As for your question, yes you should be able to buy it on the site and download it later through your purchase history list. I think they just can’t sell it anymore so it should still be on the servers unless Capcom was told to take EVERYTHING down which would be shitty.

You can get a used 360 at Gamestop for $80 right now(just in case you didn’t know).

Thanks for the help.

I didn’t know that @Evolution169, but thanks for the heads-up. That’s cheaper than I’ve seen them around. (sadly don’t have the funds right now.)

EDIT: Just as a side question, those consoles they sell “refurbished” come with a controller. Should I negotiate to get one without a controller, or would it be practical to use to PCB from the controller to dual mod my stick?

Go to marketplace.xbox.com, create an account, add a payment method in your account settings, then buy what you want to get. When you have an xbox, go to the marketplace on your PC, go to your purchase history in account settings, then choose “Add to queue” for each item purchased. When you log into the console with that account, it will start downloading those purchases.

I doubt gamestop will exclude the controller, but you can try to negotiate that. I don’t know that I would use a 360 controller to dual mod it, unless your goal is to make it wireless. I built a htbox with a wireless 360 controller, and it was fairly easy, but if I didn’t want wireless I would have just bought a PCB made for arcade sticks, probably a PS360+. 2 things you have to consider with a wireless controller PCB are the battery(how you’re gonna charge it), and adding a connect button somewhere(not hard, but easy to overlook).

Also, you might want to have a regular controller lying around. You might want to play a non-fighter at some point. Or you might encounter a problem, like in SC4, where you had to use the analog stick for character creation. Just something to consider.

Ah, I didn’t know the wireless PCBs were so different. I’m new at this lol. I’ll probably just get a PS360+ when the time comes. I’ve been able to negotiate with the local shop before, but it’s been a while since I last went in there.

And I’m pretty much getting this console exclusively to play fighters on, so I don’t really want to waste money on a controller if I don’t have to.
