Old school in terms of what? Feels like most of the older heroes don’t see much competitive play compared to the newer ones. I’d really have to look though.
I mean QoP, Axe, Sand King, even Zues. It seems like older heroes you just walk around, push a button, take half of somebody’s life. Newer heroes like Bat, gyro, etc take more careful timing and have effect like skills as opposed to old school straight damage. I think the best example of this is wisp.
While DOTA 2 is great, it still can’t beat DOTA 1 for me… not just yet. The character looks and voices of Dota 1 are just too legendary already; It’s nearly irreplaceable… but i’ll get into it once all of my best 5 are in it.

When SK stunned a creep right at the start I knew this was going to be good. Then Lina died 3v1 to a tower and I didn’t think it could get any better.
Then I saw Blood Seekers item rush and I straight up died.
Sorry, but IMO Dota 1 is still the real deal. Dota 2 will get there but it’s just not as great as Dota 1 yet. Maybe there is a big attachment with me and the older look and dialogue of the heroes in DOTA 1, nevertheless Dota 1 is still being updated constantly. 6.76 just came out, and 6.75 is barely a month old ( i think). The good thing about this update is that they brought Phoenix back to what he used to be. They shitted on him in 6.75. The 2 new heroes are also insanely good.

Also, D1 is still being updated because Frog decided to update both games simultaneously rather than dropping the WC3-Mod completely. It’s not getting anything special, just the same changes as D2 does.

I don’t care how skilled you are, but in a pure last hitting circumstance, give me beastmaster vs majority of the cast, against a similar skilled opponent and uhh yea. My point is BAT is not 99% irrelevant for last hitting. So take that condescending attitude somewhere else.

Played against a dagon/forcestaff bloodseeker. Was interesting and kind of annoying to play against.
Never saw the dagon on seeker but it was effective and interesting to me. He would ult, force and then Dagon and kill the squishy people on my team.

Force staff on BS is actually pretty standard nowadays. The dagon is usually built when you have a lot of squishies on your team or the BS is just pubstomping.
Dusted off WC3 and played the new dota patch yesterday. Huge fan of Drow’s change. I randomed Terrorblade with Drow and Vengeful Spirit on my team, in teamfights my illusions would rape faces.

Yeah I’ve seen the forcestaff on him regularly to go with his ult, it was the Dagon that was new to me on him.
I really like NA more and more
different ways to play him but Dagon seems to work to well.
He is agi so combining bf fly with a basher is cheap too, lmao.
His new Buff is amazing (the shield that deflects + stuns).
CENT got a scary new skill. Max movement speed for a few, lol.
