Of course this guy happens to be the only pub because we have a party of 4. And of course he picks Pudge and goes mid and does terrible the entire game, hitting 2/50 hooks (both of them on creeps).

When that one person can spiral out of control and become a real problem you gotta use everything you can to stop the slippery little fucker. 
In some situation you probably wouldnt want to use it, but at the same time I can see when you would want to. You also gotta think you are using a godly ult to take down a godly character, makes somewhat sense to me. Its not like you are wasting it on Drow or anything ;D
Again is all situational… thats why i love RTS.
Using an ult to kill the opponent’s carry = success. I don’t know how anyone does not know this. Ults are not wasted just because they don’t result in 5 kills. Also, unlike enigma, silencer can do it from anywhere on the map.
