Yeah I’d rather see an effort made on a FAQ that covers various JAMMA devices like kick harnesses, JAMMA/CGA splitters (necessary for head-to-head setups), how to use a J-Rok properly (this I remember being complicated), how to hook up your CPSII to a cabinet, and so on.
Fair enough, I’d like to see both.
Covering a J-Rok is both. That’s the device that splits off the CGA from a CPSII board into a regular analog signal used for televisions. The same device is used in superguns.
When I researched putting together a supergun, the video conversion is really the only thing that looked particularly involved. The other seems pretty simple. (I’ll know once I’ve had the opportunity to test my build…)
So what is the reference behind the phrase “Don’t blow this (Howard)!”? I apologize if it’s already been explained somewhere, but I just have to know.

It was a match between David Doyle and Damdai. David was using cammy and had about half life and damdai had almost nothing. While they’re both playing footsies Chris is right behind David saying dont blow it. With each and every time he says this he’s getting closer to his face tell him louder and louder. With Chris saying this David eventually loses the match. Then Chris goes ah you fucking blew it stupid loud right in his face.
So when this ST revolution started to gain some ground I wanted to come up with a name for the website. So the first thing that came to mind was dont blow it, but I couldn’t buy the domain name for obvious reasons. So I came up with dont blow this as an alternative. Since then just the name’s been getting us some views lmao

What happened to the tournament ?
The thread on the comp matchmaking forum seems to be gone.
I’m guessing that cammy-white or goforbroketv deleted that entire thread. I called him out on that thread for spreading false info regarding ncr offline tourney. The ggpo tournament did not finish, too many people missing and they lost track of the progress after a dozen matches.
It actually went quite well overall for a tournament that never got off of the ground. Over 100 people were on GGPO for ST for a good few hours. I had no trouble constantly getting games and I played hundreds of matches straight with no problems despite tons of people being connected to the server. RoyBisel versus Damdai alone had 20-25 spectators for around an hour. It got the ST room extremely active which to me is better than running a tournament online anyways.
No it did not go well. It didn’t finish, lol.
