So, as someone who got a beta key but laptop was too ass to run it, how are the classes?
I pretty much only used Wartechers back on PSU, or are they going back to the old PSO classes?

Current classes are the base PSO classes. They are releasing new classes that are sort of like the Forte classes, though. I heard they are going to use a subclass system but I am not sure.

Here is some info on the upcoming update with the new classes and new weapons.

Unfuckingbelievable… gorgeous air-combos… knock-back attacks on HUGE creatures…and it looks like the Ranger characters have taken a few lessons from Dante’s Gunslinger style… yeah, this game had me at hello.

Damn. I played the hell out of the original PSO that was on the Dreamcast, but stopped caring about the next iterations. Might really have to pay closer attention to this one, because it looks like it could be a lot of fun. It’s a shame though that they quit making the single player PS RPGs though. PS1, PS2 and PS4 were some of the best single player RPGs on the consoles. Ever. I’ve always felt that Square did more than “borrow” from the PS series when they decided to alter the FF series to be more Sci-Fi/Fantasy than pure Fantasy. Hell, just look at the fonts they used in the last two FFs.

The new classes coming out looks underwhelming. Can’t block attacks as fighter? Don’t have access to weak bullet on Ranger? Limited techs on Techer? (Wind Light Dark)

Man - I’m glad I completely forgot about this game and didn’t get on the JP servers. Now I can just wait on the NA release :rofl:

Also - that announcement trailer everyone was like “PARKOUR” and then the CAST was like “F that, ARMOREDCO(U)RE”

I am so glad people started posting in this thread again. I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH. It’s like Mahvel - The MMO for me.

I rarely use regular block anyway. I either get out of the way, or Just Defend. No point in taking chip damage when you don’t have to. And it looks like Fighters get the whole dodge and counter thing that the fists currently have, so that should be as decent as Just Defend.

Yeah, this is going to suck. Weak Bullet is hands down the strongest thing in the game right now and is an absolute necessity for every party.

EDIT: It’s been theorized that these classes are “subclasses”. That makes a lot more sense, the more I think about it.

It appears I was correct about the subclasses.

UPDATE INFORMATION, two patches. One with classes and tons of content, the other with the subclass system and tons of content.

Awesome. I hope later down the road they include an Ultimate difficulty, with new enemies/map changes just like in the original PSO.

They will have to nerf weak bullet into the ground or make it unavailable for sub classing if it isn’t your main.

I have a sneaking suspicion the new classes may be subclass only, and the main classes are base only.

The only way it’d make sense without everything being completely broken.

That is a sound assessment. Extend the power of your current class, or go with something a bit different for more utility. I like it.

Update today, folks. New classes, normal difficulty for mines, floating islands, and tundra, lots of shit.

EDIT: Removed patcher link, doesn’t seem to work right.

I’ve been so busy with guildwars2 I didn’t know the content patch was today. :rock:
