Sorry this is a little late but I like to thank everyone for coming to the gathering this past Friday night!!! It was fun.
Vortex: Thank you so much for co-hosting and backing me up. Without your help these gatherings wouldn’t be possible. I’m sorry you were sick and had to leave early. Rest and get better man.
Dime: Aka The Professor. Your presence and gameplay takes these little gatherings of ours to a high level. Thanks for raising the bar and teaching us scrubs a lesson.
Jblaze: Thanks cuz for driving up again all the way from Palm’s Springs. Thanks for helping me hold it down on Third Strike and keeping it at a high level.
Meesterwong: Thanks for trekking all the way from Cerritos just to battle at my pad. You’re a good player man. You’re Cammy is tough. My only problem with you, it’s not a big problem, is that you got to translate your pad game to the joystick. When you’re at my place you got to use the tourney stick. But other then that you’re Cammy rocks.
Harry: Thanks also for showing up. I’m sorry you couldn’t stay long. I hope next time you get to stay the whole session. We need you.
Andrew, Jeremy, and Gabby: Thank you fellow Torrance neighbors for showing up. We need new blood from Torrance. You guys show a lot of promise. If you stick with our rotations you’ll definitely level up quick. SF4 is a easy game to get good at if you’re always playing. Thanks guys for showing up and making the more the merrier. Hope you guys show up for more.
Leo: What up long time friend. Battling last night was like turning back the clock. It felt like we were kids again. So many intense battles. I know you’re busy and married these days but I hope you can return.
I’m sorry Striker Chris you couldn’t make it because of work. But if you can I hope you show up in the future. We need you pal. You’re a part of our core.
Overall thank all you guys for making the night a success. We got a solid bunch now and hopefully we all help each other level up in the future. Thanks it was fun.
NEW RULES
To all you control pad players who are serious about joining the gatherings. When you come to my place, you have to use the joystick. I spent a fortune buying these four tourney sticks. You gotta leave your control pads at home. It’s bad enough that Street Fighter 4 these days is being played mostly on console and not the arcade machine. Please don’t make it worse by playing on the control pad.
So control pads at my place are banned. I’m not hating on control pad players, it’s just that if you are a control pad player and you want to play here, you must use the joystick.
This is also a practical matter also. Since most of us here use the tourney stick, it’s better if everyone just uses the tourney stick. That way we won’t have to keep switching the controller and joystick back and forth. We had complications last night with the constant switching. It might damage my xbox. Think of it like being in the arcade where you can only use the joystick on the machine.
Hope this new rule doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings. If it does I’m sorry but it’s the way it goes. Come on guys, please don’t use pads. This ain’t tekken.
