I loved CvS2, but I’ve come to realize that I can’t play the game on Circle gates. Heck, I learned to play the game through pad. Still suck at it though ^^;

You know I hate when some (not all) new school players give all the excuses in the world about not being able to play a game. I can play on American and on Japanese. I could even play if a button goes out or if the joystick is all messed up and not working 100% of the time. These are just excuses. You want everything spoon fed and babied for you. I’m freaking sick of these excuses. Just stick to your game and leave it at that. If you can’t play MVC2, CVS2, 3S, or ST then just don’t play it and stop saying that you would if…
Freaking some of these new school players these days making the fighting game scene soft. You say that you want to play MVC2, CVS2, 3S, and ST but for some of you, the truth is that these games are just too freaking complicated for you to play. Stick to your console games and stop making excuses.

IMO, I don’t care to much for the sticks. I can adapt fine. Especially with how bad the 3rd Strike sticks at my school are, I think I can do ok on either American or Japanese.

Who all plays mvc2? I’m gonna try to come with a friend or 2 the Friday after Revelations (5/17) once school and everything is finished, if that’s cool with Don. We’ll definitely sesh it up and play some crack. Is mvc2 only on cabs, or is there a console setup? I know the game is kinda dead, but my homies and I are trying to level up for evo. Plus, I always wanted to hit up this spot at least once after reading about all the other cabs and stuff.

So, I may have mentioned this off handedly last night, but as far as EVO goes and people going, I plan to go this year one way or another, but I was wondering if anyone else was interested in going as a group to split costs for the hotel room. I’d be willing to provide the car as long as people help out with the gas. If people are interested, hit it up here and / or let’s all talk it up at Don’s place the week after ReveLAtions. The time’s coming up so you know, the sooner the better.

Super fun night at Dons. Did pretty well in Third Strike, MvC3 and CvS2. I really should try to go more often, but Saturdays tend to be the best days for me. Maybe now that summer started I can probably show up more on Fridays.
I am interested man. Me and a friend of mine were trying to go but we haven’t found other people who were interested or someone who had a car.
I made a thread on here about possible cheap hotels. Where were you thinking of staying at?

I haven’t bothered to look around for hotels yet, since I wanted to get a head count, but the one mentioned in that thread does sound pretty damned good. When I went to EVO back in 2008 I got shafted hard with my reservations; Got the hotel booked the week of, paid the same day I contacted, showed up to the place after EVO was done for the night so it was around 11:30pm, only to find out that they never got the reservation and my money was gone.
I’ll basically stay where ever, anyway. My plan was to do what I did last time and spend almost all day at the venue, only heading out to eat, sleep, hang out. Not a drinker, so that’s pretty lost on me. 
Unless it’s not beer, then I’ll drink anything.
I’ll check out that thread over the next week or two and see if I can find anything, but that Gold Coast looks pretty awesome as is. If I end up driving I’ll either take three people in my Neon, four if the three in the back don’t mind squeezing up; OR, I’ll see about the family van and we’ll pile in seven people total.
