I gotta admit, I’m fucking lost in the whole gundam thing, it’s a shame Epyon isn’t in this, that was a tight mech.

well if you liked the first one then you’ll love the second one, the additions and fixes they made were a major step up, i haven’t touched the first game since. there’s more strategy involved now imo… in this second game you have kind of like “grooves” like in cvs2 for your mobile suits… you can choose from speed, rush, and power.
speed lets you instantly cancel out your attacks with boosting/dashing so you can do some pretty slick ass combos and evade a lot of shit on the ground. power just gives you power, you just stagger a little when you get hit, when you have seed mode on you don’t even stagger, you can own people while their shooting at you and shit. rush gives you like infinite reload time on your weapons when you activate seed mode for the duration of it and it also gives you like infinite boost time during seed mode.
seriously wish they made some form of online play for this second game… shit would be too awesome.

yeah the menus and stuff are pretty easy to follow but a north american release would be nice so it could get more exposure.
the game is pretty fun with multiple people but all my friends suck and whine so i’m usually stuck with playing the cpu on maximum difficulty lol… so you play with the buster huh? lemme know when you get some vids up, i never really see any buster gameplay and i don’t really use that suit either.
You have a point about the exposure these new Gundam games are hot. Yeah I use Buster and Duel gundam. But I’ll try to get some gameplay up during the weekend hopefully.
Great I look at the mobile suit list and there are no Buster or Duel in this on. Makes sense they did get destroyed at the end of the series.

eh? the buster and the duel actually are in this. this game has just about every mobile suit from seed to stargazer. you’ll need to unlock some suits though… or just download a save file from gamefaqs if you know how to get it on your mem card. another thing thats diff about this game from the first one is that it also has a plus mode which is like a story mode where you do various missions… it has a ton and some are quite fun.

holy shit, just checked seed-vs.com and it looks like the first game is coming out for psp!? gundam seed rengou vs. z.a.f.t. portable… if this shit has online play i’m going out and buying a psp although i don’t care too much for the first game anymore it’d still be extremely tight… have a feeling it might have online play, not all the links are up yet… wonder what the “communication” link is for. i’m praying this has network capabilities… if not then hopefully ii plus when they release it for psp.

yes, you can… you can even set your own training mode by just putting the B team on player 2 and infinite health for player 2.

well, i have to say… gundam seed destiny rengou vs. z.a.f.t. ii plus is truly one of the best gundam games to date i’ve ever dealt with but then again i haven’t played all the gundam games since there are so many. i’m really itching for the psp release of this game now…
it’d be so cool if they made a type of gundam vs. game like this with all the other popular gundam series mobile suits in it like wing zero custom from gundam wing, burning gundam from g-gundam and shit in it for the ps3 or something.
Thanks, T-Kimura, I’ll definitely import it then. Anyone ever play Gotcha Force? It was made by Capcom for Gamecube back in its infancy and was kinda rare until it was reprinted a few months ago. I picked it up cuz I was itching for some VO-style gameplay, and though the game is nowhere near as deep (and looks like it’s geared toward kids), I’d say give it a try. You at least make a team of suits based on certain cost levels similar to this game, and the suits’ variety varies wildly from one class to the next (there are also a couple hundred different choices), though attacks per suit are extremely limited. This definitely looks better/deeper though.
never played gotcha force… i’ll check it out.
aegis is freaking sweet with speed, the grab move and the positron laser are so ownage to cancel in to.

playing with infinite seed mode sometimes sure is fun in vs. mode, especially with your friends.
I like the design of Aegis but I don’t like how it plays but I like Strike Noir and Akatsuki.I’ll have to try those out when I play.
yeah… strike noir is extremely powerful, probably the cheapest suit in the game, i’ve heard it’s banned in tournaments. it lacks a shield so you cant do any blocking with it but its not like you really need blocking with the noir.
Yeah Noir is beastly its my favorite suit period. I got it on my HD and I’ll post some matches tomorrow. My brother didn’t want to play one last time after he tested damn near ever MS in the game. Yeah so I’m using Noir, Strike Freedom,Duel AS,
