I just got this on the saturn today and it’s fun as hell. It may only have 7 characters and low res backgrounds, but you can’t half tell what it needs the ram cart for, damn. I’ve never seen a fighter so colourful and LOUD as this. Not even MvC2 is as insane as this imo.
Who’s your favourite characters? I like arina, mauru and politank uptil now, i havent realy tried the others much.

I wouldn’t pay for the Saturn version when you can play it arcade-perfect on MAME, but yeah, it’s pretty fun. It hurts my eyes to play though.

I always liked the game the downside was that nobody thougth of it has a serious figthing game 
my fav is Slash and the rest is ok but Ryu sandbag is the best.

I love finishing off with Ex’s and supers, it’s like im on magic mushrooms all over again. The colours are just superb. Just my cup of insanity.

I got the saturn version not long ago, but there is sooo much slowdown.maybe it’s just my set up, jap copy on uk machine, not sure. but on the subject what about galaxy fight? I never got round to playing it, is it any good?

I wouldn’t go to eleet speek for fighting game information unless you look up OLD OLD (like 2000 ish) threads by vicsant i’m not sure but i think even gel’s waku waku 7 thread was lacking in depth but i could be wrong i don’t remember it too well and he may have added strats and such.
I personally had a bad experience over there when trying to promote mlg and just in general but overall it’s a casual player’s forum (GD is way more active, and for a fighting game forum alot of peeps don’t play fighting games) and the mods there abitrarily fuck up your shit, so it’s either fit in or have a real rough time from what i can tell but i was only there for a year tops prolly less.
Even a well known member from those forums called them elitist and if you think the srkers here jump on you , some of the GD threads that fly here get shot down cold over there.

Yeah, as a former member of highervoltage, Higher-Jin’s post is 100% correct, even about GEL’s AIM. I wouldn’t suggest you go to higher voltage…unless you like porn, that’s probably the only reason 85% of it’s members are there. Not everyone there is a jackass, but the admins are.
I wouldn’t sugget you IM GEL though either…he’s like super-hyper all the time, and he loves Waku Waku 7 more than…anybody loves anything. It’s definitly a fun game that deserves more respect than it gets, but I think the severely low amount of characters and weirdness factor hurt it terribly.

I love this game. Too bad my arcade got rid of it. The game had the most freedom on neo geo. there is a combo vid on kofcyberfanatics, check it. It’s pretty nice.
galaxy fight was pretty rubbish best to avoid, had some nice stages and wacky music and the stages had no walls which is odd for a 2d fighter, other than that it was poor.
The fact your using a uk machine to run a jap game should have no effect on the speed/slowdown providing you have the 60hz switch it should run fine, sounds like a ram cart issue if i remember correctly you could use a 4mb for waku waku7 as well as the 1mb and if you are using a 4mb the game is probably a shitty conversion, i remember ss4 the game has ludicris slowdown.
If you like crazy fighters try astra superstars for the saturn it makes mvc2 look like war gods

WW7 and ASS are pretty fun. Haven’t played them much or in a while, but WW7’s one of Neo-Geo’s more underrated games, despite the acid-induced fantasy aspect, and complete rip-off of Dragonball’s “get 7 balls and make a wish” concept.
