Doctor Doom Combo Thread V2

You should be able to get more damage by using less m hits during the first rep since you reset the damage scaling, albeit less meter.
If you give me the notations for the firebrand part I can try it out tomorrow and see what I can get out of it.

Yeah- the particulars seem character-dependent. I guess the most important thing is having a character-universal method of doing the combo. I’d rather not have to worry about tiny differences that might give me a tiny bit of extra damage. Then again, I’m lazy. Best to optimize if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Those are flashy, but they are very useful (at least in concept). They’re the only option for happy b-days since neither footdive can hit multiple characters.

Pretty late for me today, I’ll see what I can do tomorrow or towards end of this week. I think those notations should be fine.

Did one for the last one, added a cr.m to give the Doom part some leeway.

Cr.m, cr.h, s, j.h, qcb-m, j.h, qcf-s, rawtag, st.m, s, j.l, addf, cr.m, cr.h, s, j.m, j.f-h, j.s, add, st.h, s, j.m, j.f-h, j.s, ender.

Going to see what I can do with the other two, I’m guessing they’re pretty maxed out since you have to do so many extra moves to get the rawtag in the sweet spot.

This is quite possibly the hardest combo I’ve had to do in the game
it’s a cool concept though

It’s a lot easier to do if you use f-H as launcher on the first rep, hella hard either way though.

Hopefully it’s OK to be asking a reset question in a combo thread, but this is by far the most active Doom thread outside the one on the Infinite. I’ve actually been running Doom on point as of late, and quite simply I’m just wondering what might be a few reset options after a combo ending in a corner that I: a. don’t believe will kill after a DHC b. I’d rather not spend the meter if possible?

For reference I’m doing Doom Bolts Cold Star. I’m sure one option is the stuff Champ does with the TAC bait reset, I just don’t know exactly how that’s done and my attempts to guess have been, um, not correct. :slight_smile:

Any advice on either how those are done and/or alternatives? (I’m not able to do Strange’s TAC into FoF loops sadly, but I do recognize that, per game theory, that is probably the correct answer)

For starters you could just do a few reps of the loop and end it with m+assist or h+assist to reset and immediately lock them down to go for a high/low/throw.
And the TAC bait reset is just j.l xx j.m. If they’re mashing s, they’ll get caught in between and you can continue your combo.

Hey thanks! Yeah actually the sM and assist is what I’ve been doing. And as for the TAC reset… that’s way easier than I expected. I’d been trying, like, jL xx fly into stuff. Def not good lol Thanks!

I found a new sideswitch combo, it’s much easier to do than Rayray/Marlinpie’s version imo anyways.

Anyways, I was in the process of learning of that specific version, and I would get buttergun by accident instead of a footdive a few times and it combo’d.

It looks really funny when you loop it in the middle.

I have a couple of timing tricks to get this combo down consistently. I can even land it online

Wouldn’t be surprised if you found it first, but The jm addf jm one I posted somewhere here a pretty long time ago. The one that goes immediately into j.l add loops I posted a video of in February

I haven’t really been doing doom stuff anymore as much anyway. There’s not really too much to get behind nowadays since the character is so popular, and he is played by a lot of the prominent tech/lab monsters. Maybe I should go find a character that no one plays at all and claim all of the tech as my own

Footdive-footdive doesn’t work at max scaling, you have to go straight into S footdive.
