Its not so much how many buttons you have to press, but how many bullshit directional inputs some games put you through. sometimes they’re so long, its ridiculous (looking at Ivy’s Criminal Symphony/Summon Suffering from SC games). Sure, there is a way to buffer it but the move doesn’t change just because of that. It takes forever to do and to me thats impractical. Another example is Justice’s big beam special from GGX2. Its so long, its retarded. Not to mention the character is left open to attack because of the start up time.

Um. Summon Suffering raped your lifebar in the original SC. It would be ridicoulously abusable if the command were simplified. Granted, Ivy is still low-tier in SCI, but still.

And using a broken character and how you can’t use her fancy super as part of this argument is just retarded.

This.

I prefer easy supers, but what constitutes “easy” is relative.

  • I find SF3/SF4-style QCFx2 motions very easy, but I find ST/HDR QCFx2 motions quite tough. Actually I find most ST/HDR non-charge motions tough as opposed to their SF3/SF4 counterparts, which would be kinda sad if I didn’t virtually exclusively use Dee Jay.

  • I find Charge B, F, B, F motions very easy, and Charge DB, DF, DB, U motions (and variants) somewhat tougher, but I can’t cancel into the latter if my life depends on it, whereas the former is easy to cancel into.

  • I find 720 motions tough to do without jumping, but really easy if buffered during a jump/hit stun/wakeup/anything that makes you not jump. I REALLY like 720s that work on the ground or the air, like CvS2 Maki.

  • I find QCB, HCF motions, QCF, HCB motions, HCB, F motions, and HCF, B motions really easy on a D-PAD of all things, but really blasted hard on a stick for some reason.

  • I find everything easier with a Happ/Il stick and Happ buttons than I do on Japanese parts. Believe me, I’ve tried Sanwa; I just can’t get used to it.

All motions are easy for Dr. B.

I just cant get the hang of charge supers in these games, causing me never to pick charge characters. I guess though, that’s the execution requirement so I ought to man up.

I’m not going to lie. I have trouble with some inputs. I can do Quarter-circles easily. Charge moves don’t give me problems unless I try to combo with them. Once I get to 720 motions, I tend to stumble a bit. I want to be able to do them on a pad without buffering it in an attack.

Some of the motions are hard for me on certain sides. I can do HCB,F on the right side in my sleep when I’m on a pad. Once I’m on the left side, it rarely comes out on pad, but comes out pretty consistently on a joystick. I guess Half-circle motions give me problems. I can’t do Geese’s Raging Storm for crap. I guess it’s just a matter of practice.

i think difficult motions should be reserved for level 3 supers, but not level 1 supers considering you’re going through all that bullshit just to get a low amount of damage.

(I also think SF4 is ass)

Ive played against some of the best players in the US. (being a former FFA player)
Afrocole, Valle, Combofeind, Soomighty, Pyrolee, Gooteckz, Edma etc. etc. etc.

I know what a dedicated player looks like.

I really like 3S, three different supers to choose from and all the same motions…
LOVE Marvel motions, but It doesn’t suit all games ofcourse.

Practice, practice and more practice. Stop bitching about inputs scrubs.

This is like the epics for scrubs backlash in WoW.

Why should you care if scrubs have epics?
If youre not a scrub, you will beat a scrub if you both have the same gear.

If you start to lose suddenly because your opponents are doing the moves they were trying to do all along, its because the game is too scrub friendly?

Having a bunch of free time isnt a skill.

Stop comparing fighters to WOW. Oh god.:shake:

Whats an acceptable comparisson?

In call of duty 4, what if you dont have a profile with all of your weapon options or perks unlocked, and lose to a person with a profile that has access to all perks, but with all things accessable to both players you win.

Is that better?

You mean a 720 starting from neutral? 720s are very hard to do from neutral, even on stick.

EDIT: Unless you mean HDR’s noobified 720s, which don’t involve “up”, so there’s no risk of jumping before completing the motion.

Nope, just STFU.

Eat a fuckin dick bitch.

REAL men prefer the option where you had access to ALL supers at once, with their proper motions.

I wouldn’t start. I’ve argued with Justice before, and trust me it didn’t turn out good for me. That’s when I got my neg rep, had to admit my ignorance, and it basically killed the thread. Look it up, Sf4 Dash Gouken Fixes. Stop before he rips shit up on you.

On second thought, this should be fun to watch. Justice, you gonna take that from him?!?

I prefer it would depend on how good said move is for the character. If it is an nearly invincible, fast and heavy hitter, make it a command motion that limits what it can be linked into. If it is just an average, damaging but easy spot(avoid) from distance super, go ahead and give it a double quarter back/forward command.

Well heres a couple things.
Im not an ignorant retard, so I dont have to admit that.
I dont give a shit about internet rep.

And how is going to rip shit up?
Having free time isnt a skill. Period.
If he thinks it is, then he has too much free time on his hands.

So angry! I can see why.
