Yea, my guess is premium costumes will only be able to be unlocked with cash, alt colors and “basic”? costumes with fight money.
The PC and PS4 versions don’t share purchases, right? My PS4 is primarily going to be used as a setup for tournaments/house sessions/etc… so if purchases aren’t shared (which seems likely), I can simply grind out on PC and use a season pass on my PS4 to have it ready for tournies.

Personally I agree with ParryAll in that they are shooting themselves in the foot with the upfront $60 investment. If the investment was more like Dota or something in the $20-30 range and they made more costumes and shit purchase only I think they’d be fine. $60 up front is going to keep them from hitting the 20+ million users they need to really get shit going. They might drop the price 6 months in to that though and just laugh in the face of their long term supporters though (likely).
Also if the game isn’t super exciting to watch they might have longevity issues with the e-sport aspect, but that is another issue entirely.
I don’t find any of the other eSport games particularly fun to watch so sky is the limit for me.

Seeing as you don’t need to buy the Season Pass up front my initial plan is to grind it out as I’ll be playing a lot anyways; working from home for two months after it drops thanks to an injury means plenty of time to get fight money. However when the first character drops if the amount of fight money to buy them seems ridiculous I’ll probably end up just grabbing the Season Pass then and get the costumes as well. I don’t really feel the need to get costumes for characters I don’t play though, although I am interested in 2/3rd of the DLC characters compared to really only maybe half of the current cast.

Already? This isn’t a good sign. Soon they will be giving the game away for free with a signed letter thanking us for taking it.
I bet this is because of the Amazon deal, they want to stop people from cancelling their pre order. I mean if wouldn’t at this point? you save 12 dollars.
I know bestbuy has had this deal for a while but they aren’t as big of a player in terms of competition then say an Amazon.

i know you got the 6 character but do you have some alternate costume for all the roster or only the dlc character ? do you have some game currency to purchase stuff in the game ?

The season pass offers all 6 DLC characters and their premium alt costume for 29.99. All we know at this point is premium alt costumes will only be able to be purchased with real money and that they are priced at 4 dollars apeice. We have no info if the season pass offers anymore benefits like discounts at the CFN store or anything like that. If you were just looking at the dollars point of view, all alt costumes for DLC characters would run you 24$, so for 6 more dollars you get all the characters and could use your FM else where or for later seasons.
let just hope to have more info from capcom on the dlc ,btw idk you but i love more the dlc character compare some in the roster , thank you to take time to help /bow
