Do YOU do any Martial Arts?

So I’m officially a Kendo Shodan(Blackbelt).
Pretty pumped. I might post a video of my grading if anyone is interested?

yeah

Ill post some vids tomorrow probably. Ill give you guys the run down lol.

im gonna diss you. but post away. your foot better be pivoted son

Never jump guard on a guy with 40 lbs on you and willing to crush you instead of blowng his back out

Like hobestly why dude? You want me to spinebuster you like i’m batista?

Yep, Lee is credited as the first to introduce full contact sparring to the MA community in the 70s.

Since the summer is an extremely slow time at my job, I’m bored so I’m posting this.

Fight breakdown

Fat White guy has decided size and power advantage and throws really shitty haymakers. But starts fading quick

Asian dude kills with leg kicks, but again his “muay thai” weakness is the lack of head movement or parry attacks

Fat white dude eats so many leg kicks and he loses any arm strength because of how many “punches” he throws

Fat dude’s defense sucks. His defense is sort of just shrugging off punches and kicks.

But those kicks to the arm take their toll

And he gets slept by a head kick

Hope asian dude ran out of therr

This is why you DON’T sign up for smokers

Ill be posting soon. Been in MTL this week for work. Going to train at my old club.
Should be a blast. Excited to fight my old sensei.

That is not a smoker, that is just DADA5000 doing his backyard fights lolol.

You scared him away

Lol the boxer had him beat, but those leg kicks got him in the end.

That was such bad boxing vs very bad muay thai

Smaller dude went down, but a lot of the other times it looked like he got tripped

Jesus, no defense from either guy. And that headkick and fat dude got slept with possible brain bleeding

Those leg kicks were super harsh

Sorry, I havent even posted any photos on FB yet. Been so busy. Should be able to post soon.

Got a question for the folks in here who do a lot of kickboxing. My job might get a kickboxing heavy bag. What are good free-standing ones and good bags with stands? Looking for something sturdy and can take abuse.

The answer is none lol.
Especially for kickboxing. You should hang a kicking bag. I’m biased but honestly I’m yet to see a good free standing/stand bag that doesn’t shake like a fiend.

I went back to look at our makeshift gym here and there seems to be an area where a heavy bag can be hung from. Got to ask the custodian if it’s sturdy enough.

speaking of this, what do you guys recommend for training home ? a heavy bag or a makiwara ? I want to buy something to help develop power in my strikes but I’m not sure which one is the best. Anybody has experience with this type of equipment ? pros/cons ?

If you have the room I say get both.
