Thats weird about the Comps. I have 4 and the plunger and cherry switches are more white than the off white shown in your photos above. I love the competitions with a hard spring, its tough to worry that there is an inferior version floating around out there.
Thank goodness for discerning vendors :wgrin:
Request time: We need more Seimitsu LS-40-01 and more PS-14-DN & PS-14-GN options in the X/clear variety (e:g: black/clear, blue/clear, etc)
We are already thankful for your increasing inventory, keep it going

I’m wondering in regards to the Competition sticks, the old Happ ones from my experience often times required sanding of the microswitches to get a nice circle motion, will the ones straight from IL have that problem too?
Working on it, bear with me… your requests have been noted…
Not sure on this, they seem pretty smooth to me, but then again, I’m not a professional gamer like you guys, so what the hell do I know?
Thanks,
Chad

Are you sure you’re not thinking about the ones with the black actuator? As far as I know the ones with the white actuator (the IL ones) didn’t need anything done to them.

The ones with black actuator wouldn’t get a nice circle even with the sanding. The last 3 or so Competitions I’ve had with white shaft and actuator needed sanding though.
Just wanted to give a big shout to Lizard Lick, you guys are great.
The delivery was very fast despite being a fairly large order, the package was well wrapped/protected and now it’s all in my stick.
Very pleased and I highly recommend you guys.

it is D4 series
http://www.cherrycorp.com/english/switches/miniature/d4.htm
they are more stable than K series, I have blue D42 and they are very good, they seem more solid and nicer than KWJ
but I do not know their mechanical durability
Cherry passes only electrical durability.
you can make the foto from bottom microswitches, number serial internal?
Actually, I’ve read on this forum somewhere about sanding the switches even with the white actuator also…
Can you send me a pic of how you’re doing this? Maybe we can send them out the door pre-sanded or something…
Thanks man, we like the BIG orders!
I think you’re on to something here… I pulled a couple off and took a pic, they are D44X’s… http://lizardlick.com/images/cherry_d44.jpg. I talked to my supplier, and these may change at some point in the future, but for now, this is what will be on the Eurojoystick. Thanks for that link, according to the specs, the “X” indicates “light” operating force. They are nice switches, I think you guys will like them. I’m not sure how set everyone is on using .187 qd’s, but it would seem to me that you all would be better off with .250’s, since those connectors are much more readily available (Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc., all carry them)…
BTW, we are just about out of Comps, so we will be updating the website soon to phase them out/phase these in. I hope you guys are spreading the word about these, I have a feeling I’m about to be inundated with emails looking for Competition joysticks, lol…
Thanks,
Chad

Just placed my order. Let me know if anything comes up.
I think you know where to email me if need be.
Thanks Chad. :wgrin:
Ordered some buttons and a stick, they came in like three days and were very securely packaged. Thanks!

I just sand them by hand. I can post a pic of what they look like after sanding. Considering the amount of time and effort it took (for me at least
) I wouldn’t bother pre-sanding them. They are pretty tough cookies though, so maybe if I had a sander it would be faster and easier.

Do you have Sanwa JLF-CD Shaft Cover & Disk?
I’m not sure, Which is color match Seimitsu LB-39 Clear Joystick Ball Top?
This is my third time ordering from LizardLick and have’nt had a problem once. And everything always came fast and well packaged. Thanks Chad!
You’ve got good timing Jose, your order went out today…
You are most welcome sir, thanks for your order!
Seriously, get me a picture… I’ve got a bench sander in the shop, it would probably make quick work out of those little bastards…
Got it, you’re picked and packed, it will go out in the morning…
Sorry Opi, I’ve been trying to get those back in for months now, I’m starting to think I’ll never see them again…
BTW, who wanted the LS-32-01 springs? They are here, shoot me a pm or email…

I was surpised, I love LS-40-01 is awesome!! I never expect that. :amazed:
I ordered LS-32 white ball top from Europe arcade. I never try that. I think same LS-40-01?
Just ordered 8 clear seimitrsus and 2 generic buttons and a balltop.
Generic for start+select ( putting LEDs under em)
Euro-USD exchange rate FTmotherfuckingW.
I probably shouldve ordered more, but PP is being a bitch about it (I’m just broke)
Hey Chad, I opened my LS-32-02 again and I found out what was wrong. One switch is giving too much tension ! Should it be like that ? Doesn’t seem like it…
Its hard to add anything new to the list of good things that have been said about LizardLick but I will give it a go.
Personally I like custom orders and I commonly ask for substitutions or deals wherever I go. Nothing that I feel unreasonable like when I recently went to a crummy Mexican resturaunt and wanted to substitute a rice pilaf with some beans on there menu that actually cost a bit less. The waitress looked at me like I wanted to replace my pilaf with Gold Plated Ice Cream ( http://www.dailyolive.com/got_1000_why_no.html ) unfortunately this is what I have came to respect from merchants these days.
Not LizardLick however, If LizardLick where a crappy Mexican Resturant and Chad was my waiter instead of just giving me a look of contempt I would of got my beans and been happy with that simply because of the polite and quick service and he would have actually got a tip. That is not the end of the story though latter in the evening when there was some Moronic woman yelling at the television set I would assume He would politely ask me if I would like her shot. Now I would of thanked him and declined because thats a bit harsh, but that is just how good LizardLick’s service is!
So long story short is when I finally get around to erecting an arcade for my friends and me Chad is going to be better off for it because he is awesome.
Er, not quite sure how to answer this… you know we can get you anything you need, right? Like white ball-tops?
Thanks for the order… It will go out in the morning!!
You know I will take care of you dude, check your pm’s…
I just wanted to say, this is why we do what we do… and after I was done laughing my ass off, I contemplated whether or not I would have asked, I probably would have just gone ahead and shot her anyway, hehe… Thanks for making my day, I’m glad you appreciate our service… :wgrin:
Thanks guys,
Chad
