Do Ingrid, Yun, Maki and Eagle have storylines in PSP Alpha 3?

think ingrid and …gill …

SF4 ??

If history repeats itself with SF4 (providing the game ever comes out anyway…) there will only be about 4 returning SF characters (like what happened with SF1 to SF2, SF2 to SF3). If Ingrid and Gill turn out to be two of those characters above a bunch of other SF2 heads I’m pretty sure Capcom will be burned to the ground… course if they just switch up and add lots of people from SF2, SF3 and SFZ/A then no worries…

Please let this not become another SF4 thread… I pray to the Goddesses Ingrid, Okami, and all of the God Bosses in Forgotten Worlds… I know Mundis won’t answer my prayer and Jedah still owes me five bucks… No Gill you are not my God grrrr…

Won’t they just respond that each SF game happens in a vacuum, anyways? :looney:

Either that or, “What do you think? It’s for the gamer to decide.” Dejavu…

An Ingrid figure would be lovely.

OK Sano, one last note about SF 4, I think anybody would be satisfied with any old or new characters in SF4, you only have to look at the net to see so much speculation that sales wouldn’t be affected due to characters. So Ingrid and Gill maybe…who knows time will tell. Did we find out that Illumininati was destroyed in the 3rd one?

I’m not really sure… I suppose if Urien’s ending took place and he destroyed Gill it might be over. Sequels usually answer big questions like this… even if SF4’s story has nothing to do with SF3’s story the game usually will answer something like this… usually anyway. Like SF2 answers what happened between Ryu and Sagat(though the Zero/Alpha series switched things up a bit but the outcome is the same) and like how SF3 TS via Urien’s quote to Chun-Li reveals that Shadowloo is destroyed, just in case there were any doubts.

So…Ingrid is practically a “what if” if “if” had happened? blah…I hope Udon uses her anyway then

I would be nice if they did in some kind of way. At this point I don’t think the comic an use her SFA3 Maxx storyline, since, I dunno, some of it seems a lot like the story they did of Vega’s(cape) master. Both are woman, and while one is an instructer Ingrid is the source of Psycho Power, and both are affiliated with Rose. In both versions Vega(cape) is the one that came up with/discovered Psycho Power, in the comic it’s a variant of Soul Power and in Ingrid’s story it’s a variant of the source of power’s real name(not given) taken from her. And the comic already has Rose pursuing Vega(cape), Ingrid chasing him too might be a tad overkill if he’s chasing him for the same reasons, misuse of power.

But who knows. Agent Shadow appeared in the comic. Anything can happen. I’d like to see Ingrid at the very least in a Back Up story at some point, even if her story is switched up a bit (but I really like her SFA3 story myself). I’m still waiting for the rest of the SF1 cast to appear in the comic though.

Hey Sano,

I’m wonderin’ why didn’t they use more SF 1 characters for alpha 3 max instead of Ingrid and Yun? I would’ve like to see Geki or Retsu!

At the very least SF1 will be on the PSP’s version of Capcom Classics Collection if you miss SF1 characters. You’ll be able to fight against them again.

Personally, all the remaining characters. :lovin:

Oh Sano by the way…

On SF Alpha 3 Max…do you have to unlock Guile, Shin Akuma and Evil Ryu on world tour mode?! Or are they auto playable?

No for Evil Ryu and Guile, they are available from the beginning. Shin Akuma I dunno but regular Akuma is there. I don’t think you unlock anyone in World Tour Mode in this game, it’s like the Dreamcast version where World Tour Mode boosts your characters up and that’s it, no character unlocking.

YAY!!! What was the release date in Europe, do you know?

Capcom Europe’s site says 10/3/06.

Which means March 10th rather than October 3rd. European date notation.

Looks like Capcom is gonna hafta retcon some shit to make Ingrid a cohesive char in the series. And I think Ingrid is Bison’s master reincarnated, since she said it was her power repeatedly in her story and Bison could do it, so why not his master? Anyways, I think she could prove to be a very interesting char in the series. Now if they somehow incorporated the Red Earth and EX chars…

:wonder: I don’t think the EX characters are really part of the official canon partly because Arika own them. Ingrid however I suppose is because she’s in Alpha 3 Max which I’m supposing is the last Alpha update.

There will never be a last Alpha update at this rate
