What is more interesting having not checked any of the sourcing on the article mind you to see what the “historians” knew. Why is this a surprise? Wasn’t DNA testing done to most existing races to determine in some fashion that everyone started out in Africa somewhere and moved outwards and thats where all of the different strains of humanity came from? I thought it was the same I geneticist that determined seperation between white and black barring physical traits was essentially nothing whatever. Why would china be exempt? There’s a difference between saying people from China descended from Africans who migrated out of Africa, rather than China had black Africans who made up the Chinese population.
It should be also noted that some anthropologists believed that Asians might have evolved from homo erectus making them a different lineage from Africans since that species was in Asia thousands of years before modern man.
The original Chinese weren’t black, that is wishful(or magical) thinking. Tracing a part of Chinese lineage from Africa means tracing it back to a pre-human(emphasis on pre-human) group that left Africa almost a quarter million years ago. There were no black people, or people at all, when these initial migrations occurred.

I remember seeing a documentary about breeding wild foxes. They cased about 100 of them and only allowed the ones that were more docile to breed. After a few generations some foxes were docile enough to be held. On top of that the new generation had a different color tail and that was how you could tell the difference between the feral and docile foxes. So i propose that the first asians were black but they had such strict social rules that people of only certain personalities and traits were, for lack of a better word, allowed to breed or stay in their society. Eventually like that foxes that had different colored tails, certain physical traits emerged and next thing you know you have the classic asian.
