the 3s characters did turn out pretty sad (except dud). ono needs to just throw in the rest of the alpha characters and call it a day.

I liked Mika alot but this is the truth, not many people played her. If Hugo was in SSF4 it would be too much 360 grab fest with Gief, Hawk already having awesome command grabs, 3 would be too many. R. Mika would be good since she is about a mix between Elf and Abel with some Gief influences. IMO Mika was one of the best / most fun grapplers to date.

Nah on the reals, I reckon Rolento as an obvious one, I’d quite like to see Oro and Urien make an appearance. A dont think itd be too hard to adapt Uriens storyline for this game anyway, he could just be scouting or workin undercover or whatever.

He was like one of the best characters in SF3 SI until they shitted him out in 3rd Strike. Who could say no to a face like that.

I was playing some more 3rd strike Alex today and I was thinking how perfect he would be in SSFIV.
He would definitely be an anti fireball character with his many ways of getting around them:
1.Flash Chop nullifies Fireballs which builds meter and moves you forward
2.EX air stomp homes onto the opponent from full screen and can be done on reaction to the fireballs.It also crosses up meaning shenanigans.
3.Stun gun headbutt is useless in 3rd strike because fireballs were never thrown out and it was easy to avoid,but if Stun Gun headbutt was given some range in IV it would be an amazing punisher for jumping over misplaced fireballs.
4.EX slash elbow(the charge move) would also most likely have absorb armour on it too which would be another tool for going through fireballs.
Couple that with Alex’s powerful command grab,good footsies/pokes and raw strength and you have a really raw powerful character.I can already imagine combos like cr.lp,cr.lp,st.mk xx lp.flash chop.
Also there should be a nice cinematic for every power bomb so you can feel it just like Abels grab.I know people say this game is too full of grapplers but Abel will be forgotten when Alex gets in the game.Alex is superior in every way.
Is there any chance to see some DLC characters? I was wondering…
