Alex is cool (probably my favorite SF character), but Abel is there and he’s pretty close to him. I prefer to add characters that bring more diversed options:
Karin, R.Mika, Elena, Sodom, and Eagle to name a few.
Abel: Roll around, spin people and slam, kicks to the groin.
Alex: BOOTS TO THE FUCKING MOUTH.
If he really was your favorite you wouldn’t do him such a disservice by comparing him to Abel.
Curious, since when was Rolento so popular? I never heard a peep about him when the alpha series was in it’s hey day. This isn’t trolling, I’m genuinely inquiring, what is so interesting about the character?
The fact that people are comparing frenchy mc-douchebag Abel to ALL AMERICAN ALEX makes my patriotic spirit cry.

Rolento was a serious anti Chun Li in A2. Most of her matches were overwhelming her favor but Rolento was actually pretty damn even. My only theory of why he is popular is that many people learned him to counter Chun Li and found out they actually liked him. As for non alpha players really digging him… fuck if I know.
I wasn’t aware that patriotism had to be synonymous with xenophobia. Patriotism is often an arbitrary veneration of real estate above principles, as was once said.

I would love to see Yang and Rolento enter the mix. Yun is already in there.
I always thought that the concept behind Mokujin (From Tekken) was really cool.
A character that randomly changes to a new character each round. They could implement the character as Twelve from III, but instead of having his own moveset and using X.C.O.P.Y., he just chooses a character at the beginning of each round and morphs into him.
Rolento was top of my wish list, along with Sodom.
