Wow what a blow up. I’ve got a long wait.
It’ll sell well I’d imagine, I just think Capcom is starting to get a reputation beyond just the FGC for pulling stuff like this.
No, YOU are completely out of touch with reality. If you buy the disc, you own everything on that disc and nothing will change that.
It’s a very accurate comparison.

"The DLC is on the disk so you can play with people that bought it without downloading anything"
I didn’t knew we need character prologues and rival battles to be able to play with people who bought it. Lie more capcom.
Oh you didn’t hear!!! Arturo was recording the whole conversation in the board meeting. He did it for us, for the FGC!!!
It’s him being presumptive as usual. But he means well I guess. Keits, unfortunately and embarrassingly, is an ambassador of the FGC
Resorting to personal attacks? How childish.

So basically another drama like the one on Cross assault for all this DLC completed characters?
I wonder what the heck is capcom gonna say for all this xD
I don’t argue with idiots. I merely call them out and move on with my day. I could talk to you and educate you about how expensive it is to produce a game and how game prices have stayed the same the last x years and how standard price points affect development timelines but what’s the fucking point? At the end of the day you’re an idiot.
Capcom just changed that. Grow up and pay for products you didn’t create, and on the terms of the creators. It’s code and it’s locked by the programmers – not a salad.
CHILLS, MAN. CHILLS DOWN MY SPINE.
Had the game since Thursday but haven’t touched any of these characters ;p
Sony sucked a mean dick for this SFxT shit.
I was gonna buy their shitty handheld at some point but not anymore.
Yeah, apparently those intros and endings will come in handy for people who chose not to buy the DLC characters…
I don’t think the Capcom execs got enough sleep last night, thinking up what excuse to sell us.
But hey, at least we didn’t have to pay for this excuse, or wait 6 months.
Or it’s for those who buy the DLC characters.
Which I’m pretty sure they never said it wasn’t.
seriously, the whole DLC situation im making me want to hack the game… and i really dont want to. I love Capcom but shit like this just gets me mad.
More personal attacks. Is that really all you can do?
You seem to fail to understand two very important points.
The first is that Sony obviously paid Capcom an enormous amount of money to hype the Vita version by advertising the 12 DLC characters as premiering with the Vita version, not to mention the (most likely) timed exclusivity of Mega Man and Pac Man.
The second is the condition of the characters. All 12 (technically 14) characters are on the disc in 100% form (or, for the sake of argument that maybe there will be some tweaking, let’s say they’re 95% complete) and are fully playable through hacking. Capcom is deliberately holding these characters back until sometime in the Fall, when the Vita version releases, when they will probably release all of them together for about $20-$40 (my personal estimate) for the console and PC versions. I’m assuming that Mega Man and Pac Man will also be released on the 360/PC during this update.
Now, this would not be an issue if the characters were not blatantly (nearly?) finished. If for example, they only had the basic models with no textures, no attack data, no voices, etc, then the DLC would be legitimate. You would be downloading a majority of the data, and the data that was on the disc would more or less be placeholder data. Even if things like the openings and endings were on the disc to save DLC data space, it wouldn’t really matter because all people care about are the characters themselves.
But this is not the case, the characters ARE (more or less) completely on the disc, and if you buy that disc, you own what is on that disc, and for Capcom to try and charge you more for something you already bought, and make you wait for something that pirates can already do, is absolutely disgusting.
It’s locked by the programmers because they are underhanded scumbags.
Everyone does this in the industry, Capcom was just stupid enough to get caught.
I think the big problem with everything is how Capcom compounded one mistake (on disk DLC), with a second GREATER mistake in delaying things due to exclusive deals.
If it were just on disk DLC that were coming out in a month or so, people would be upset but not raging. It’s the double whammy of on disk DLC, + full knowledge of everything being delayed due to retarded deals with Sony that sends people over the edge.
