Disrespect online

Emil , serious business.

It’s not about being new…it’s about using some sense and learning from mistakes. I got nothing against new players but it’s just frustrating to play against the same badness when the player is doing nothing at all to adapt. I think those types of noobs are just hopeless. Even worse when they don’t actually ask me questions like “how do you beat that move/strategy” and instead just play the same way.

I’m a MK noob, what’s Fatality dropping?

I don’t play many fighting games on XBL, mainly because the one Street Fighter game on there is a terrible port so most of my experiences are coming from ggpo or Kaillera where I’m sure there are a lot less assholes but I still don’t see that many on XBL. You can’t say the community is worse then Halo’s where I get a shitalker/singer/asshole that annoys me almost every game.

It’s not even like that. I’ll give anyone a chance, but as soon as they start acting like idiots I don’t see why I should stick around when all they do is annoy me.

People in this thread are talking like it’s my duty to stay in the game and rape the guy until he learns a lesson, when I feel that A) People like these aren’t worth my time and B) These types of people generally won’t stop talking shit just cuz they got raped. It’s a lost cause, and they’ll mature on their own when and if they are ready.

I rather make a new game and play against people who might turn out to be chill and thus play against them in other games as well. Why invest so much time in schooling a scrub whose screen name I won’t even want to look at when I’m done (and who in return will probably feel the same way about me). Just doesn’t make sense. I rather make friends than enemies. Douchebags can go play against the CPU and stay as scrubs for all I care. Not my fucking problem. I’m not running a god damn nursery school. I’m also not paying per game, like I would be in the arcade, so I see no need to “hold down the fort” and play all comers regardless of how much of a jackass they are.

I am not a major MK player either but I would assume that is dropping/shutting off the console while another player is performing a fatality on you. Correct me if im wrong though.

I’ve had a couple of instances where I’d try to play A3 against someone and they were completely random. I’d win and they would start saying stuff like you quoted in your original post. I’d tell them I just won and I don’t know what they’re talking about and they’d call me crazy.

Apparently we didn’t connect properly, so we were both playing cpu characters. This only happens to me in A3 though. Maybe it’s a situation like that?

Yes, Fatality dropping (or FAT. drop, for short) is leaving the game, or shutting console off at the time they lose the round and it says “Finish Him/Her!”.

Its a total cop-out, pussy move. Period.

No FAT. dropping on a cab. Try that sht and you’d get laughed (or beaten up) out of the arcade, lol.

Hahahahahahahahno.

Wtf community are you on?

If a person annoys me I find a new game, common sense.

One that isn’t close to being as bad as this:

Yeah. As much shit that’s been flung at me during fighting games it doesn’t even come close to the trash talking in Halo. I get called a faggot pretty much every time I play. I could probably record it all and make a “faggot” and “suck my dick” montage.

Today, some dude told me that I was a stupid Mexican, and I needed to go pick some cotton. I can’t even begin to explain all the things wrong with that sentence.

Isn’t it fun to see them jumping backwards in the corner while doing aerial kicks, setting themselves up to land on fireballs? Or when they say “Wtf?! I hit you WAY more times than you hit me!!”, not understanding that they were using jabs, shorts, and the occasional forward?

Your one to talk.

IMO the people that are seriously good/great at a game(on or offline, doesnt matter), are the more humble, friendly, and welcoming players, and generally don’t talk shit at all(unless it’s friendly smack talk with people they’re actually friends with), unless they’re unecessarily provoked or see someone being mistreated and disrespected.

Usually the ones that just blab at the mouth, are players that aren’t good at anything they play, and just have issues in general that ain’t even game related.

True…and I’ve always only run across them while playing snk games. 1 dude bent me over and did me dry with 3 straight ocv with regular Chris online, and then offered to teach me how to use him properly. I forget his name, but I thank him immensely. I was utterly humbled by that guy. Of course, this was before the dc version came out. using what I learned from him, and applying it in different ways, I got MUCH better.

Truth. Best not be fuckin’. I’m still sore from the beatings Emil gave me in KOF2k2.

And yeah, fighting gamers are totally mature. Look at MVC2 players. Totally respectful, intelligent, and definitely not going to rip the stick out of the cab because they lost then threaten to knife you.

Well, sometimes YOU have to take the initiative. I do and it ends up working in the long run. Some people play and see us do all this crazy in-game shit and think “Man, he’s an elitist and probably won’t give me advice.” People actually think that way, you know? LOL @ getting frustrated at someone else’s playing style. You may as well just not play if you’re gonna get angry at a new player.

???

Who were you on GGPO?

Look! Its gay & gayer! :lame:

That’s why I only play P2P now.
